According to WorldScreen.com, British factual entertainment company Alba Communications has announced a new round of programs for A&E Television Networks' the Biography Channel and The History Channel. All Biography Channel programs produced by Alba are being delivered in HD formats as A&E Television rolls out its U.S. HD channels. Alba has begun production on a slew of programs for the Biography Channel for this year, including specials on Bono, Tina Turner, and Daniel Craig . . .

 Daniel Craig To Play 'King of Cool' Steve McQueen? The Post Chronicle reports that Daniel Craig has been tipped to play screen legend Steve McQueen by the late actor's widow.
Barbara McQueen Brunsvold insists Craig is the only actor who can do the mammoth role justice in any biopic of the 'The Great Escape' star's life. She said: "I think Daniel would be the best one to play Steve. He's kind of got that swagger, the good looks - if I wasn't married I'd date him."
