Daniel Craig: At the top of his form at 39!
October 15, 2007

It’s impossible to feature London as a capital where men and women are taking control of the way they age without mentioning Daniel Craig. Since I’m the one who highlighted Pierce Brosnan’s portrayal of James Bond, I cannot follow suit without mentioning his blond successor.

I’ll admit that Daniel Wroughton Craig (born in Chester in 1968) might not have been my choice to play British spy agent James Bond, but like so many people I was won over by his don’t-even-think-of-messing-with-me-performance and intensity in "Casino Royale”.

It’s not Daniel Craig’s acting abilities that are of concern to me, nor his lack of resemblance to past hunky actors who played James Bond, but rather his formidable physique at 39!

There is little doubt that countless hours of serious strength training have gone into shaping Daniel’s body and sculpting those rock-solid-abs into something even Michelangelo’s ‘David’ statue would envy. Although Daniel has a lot of motivation in maintaining the kind of body that will make him more credible as a “human-fighting-machine”, it’s still worth highlighting how incredibly attractive a well-defined body really is…regardless of age.

Daniel Craig is my Celebrity Beauty Match Pick because almost one year after the debut of “Casino Royale” (in November 2006) everyone is still talking about that “chair scene” were he was sporting nothing more than his birthday-suit.

P/S : By the way, it's in the news everywhere, that Jennifer Aniston fantasizes about him. Interesting.

After taking a two-year hiatus, Jennifer Aniston is back to work on her new film He’s Just Not That Into You. In the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the 38-year-old actress reflects on a possible move to New York, her inner Oprah, and who in Hollywood she’d like to have an affair with (hint: The name is Bond, James Bond). The mag, celebrating its 140th anniversary, doesn’t hit newsstands until October 23 but see interview higlights below for a sneak peek…

On how she would like this story to begin:
“I’m ba-ack.”

On living a day as someone else:
“I would love to be Oprah – for just one day.”

If she worked in the government:
“I’d be a spy. A very glamorous spy who plays poker and lives in Monaco. And has affairs with Daniel Craig.”

Since when is 39 considered to be old?
I've got a feeling our golden boy will be looking hot well into his 60's.

I agree. some people looks better with age and I believe Daniel is one of them. He already is blessed with a very good body and is I hope generally healthy.

I wonder is his body shape anything to do with his rugby past or maybe some people are just blessed with those lovely greek god body?

I read, some time ago, that he says he's blessed genetically. His father and uncle(s) are similar.
Crazy!

From my perspective, 39 is young!!! I agree with Sharmaine, I think he will only get better with age. I all ready think he looks best now, right now!!!

The word is that he'll be even more ripped in Bond 22. I can't wait to see that! The movie theaters will have to stock up on drool bibs and mops.

I agree with those that think he looks way better with age but still prefer his body at Layer Cake level, not because he is in worst shape now that when he did Layer Cake but because in Casino Royale I found him too buff. And well if in Bond 22 he is going to be even more ripped ... I can understand there is a commercial interest to attract more men and women for his looks but I know I will not like him so much. I know I am in a minority here but that is what I think :D.
