Finnish rocker Ville Valo linked to Bond 22 theme song

MEDIA RUMOUR
Longtime Bond soundtrack writers David Arnold and Don Black are now said to have approached Ville Valo, lead singer of metal band HIM, to record the theme to the 22nd James Bond film - reports Contact Music.

The 30-year-old rocker was allegedly approached by the Bond team at the BMI awards on Tuesday (16th October 2007) where he was honoured for his hit Wings Of A Butterfly.

A source told British newspaper the Daily Star, "David Arnold and Don Black were in deep conversation with Ville on the night. "They love the song that won him an award. They think he has just the right ear to write a classic Bond hit with them."

HIM, that's the band who sang "join me in death", right? I loved that song. Nice voice! would be a good choice for Bond song.

Ha, that would be quite cool, a Finn making a Bond theme...

Ville is from Helsinki, but I have to say I've never bumbed into him out in the town. I suppose we don't hang out in the same places (not surprising!). I wonder if they would take another hardrock guy after Chris Cornell? Of course, their styles are very different...

Maybe we could get Daniel up here then! The press junkets etc. for this northern corner are usually in Sweden or Denmark, but hardly ever in Finland. But with a Finnish title song, maybe... I'll start LoAing for this!!

Wot about the girl in the video Miss Avalon she could be James Bond Girlie....she has no inhibitions does she...I wonder if Daniel has heard of her ????? Wot was the movie about was it about the Rolling Stones by any chance...or am I barking up the wrong tree here...or was it George Harrison at one point I thought Jack Sparrow had climbed in the movie and disguised himself

It's good we are contributing to loads of neologisms , we could produce a dictionary, why not ???
