Wow , great site . maybe we need a thread for cool DC sites on the web , like the russian one so all the newbies can learn about them .

Back to his charity . I was wondering about somethig we could support in his name like some fans of other actors do . Like Skyer's Army ( the dude on Heroes ) and Clive and Sean's fans do . What do you think ? Anybody with any experience in doing somethng like that . It would be a nice way of showing our affection for our Dan.

So Mr. Williams took the poolboy picts. I always wondered where those picts were taken. It looks like a pretty famous house, architecturally, from Palm Springs, CA. Once owned by Frank Sinatra.
Crazy!

That's a great idea, I'd really like that! We could support STOP in his name, he's been involved with them for quite a while.

Press releases
Barnardo’s goes to the movies
Release Date: 26/07/2007
This summer, children's charity Barnardo's will be advertising in cinemas for the first time. The 71 second ad is a hard-hitting execution of the charity's 'Believe in Children' campaign.

The ad features a young boy, using a series of expletives to talk about his experiences of family life, foster care and social workers, explaining how Barnardo’s has stuck by him while others have given up. The ad will be shown before a number of ‘15’ and ‘18’ certificate films in cinemas throughout the South East, using a ‘bleeped’ version for younger viewers and an unedited version for 18 films.
Andrew Nebel, Director of Communications at Barnardo’s, explains, ‘Cinema advertising is a new medium for the charity and has allowed a more accurate portrayal of our work with children and young people. The film highlights that we are not deflected by bad language and will persevere and look beyond aggressive terms to see the potential in every child.’
Nebel continues, ‘Cinema is also a great way of talking to new, younger audiences about the work that we do, and we are very excited about its possibilities for the charity.’
The ad will be shown from August 3 as a preview to some of the summer’s biggest films, including The Hoax, The Walker, Bourne Ultimatum, 1408 and Death Sentence.
Notes to Editors
Creative Agency: BBH (Bartle Bogle Hegarty)
Media Agency: John Ayling and Associates
The ‘Believe in Children’ ad schedule has included national press, outdoor 6-sheets, tube cards, online presence and voiceover on 40” and 30” radio spots by actor Daniel Craig.
Barnardo’s works with approximately 110,000 children, young people and their families in over 383 specialised projects in local communities across the UK. This includes work with children affected by today’s most urgent issues: poverty, homelessness, disability, bereavement and abuse. For more information about Barnardo's please see Link.
We believe in the potential in every child and young person, no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through. We will support them, stand up for them and bring out the best in each and every child.
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..
