Somewhere a while back I saw Daniel's name for an upcoming movie in 2010 "Lucifer" could Oasis have something to do with that?

It was pulled down. First Ewan dropped the project, because somehow no one really worked on it and later Daniel hadn't that interest anymore and so in the end the project stopped.

Mind you, having read the book, I'm not too sure how it would have worked as a film

It would have needed some careful handling.

I could have coped with both Dan and Ewan in it (I guess!!).

I'm so disappointed about the whole I, Lucifer thing. It's such a wickedly funny book, and DC would have been the PERFECT actor to play Lucifer....but your right M-M on how it would be pretty difficult to make it as a live-action film. I could see it work as an adult cartoon picture like Renaissance; but live-action could be rather challenging.
