I don't even know if I understand the term "hacked". :? Today, I got an email from a friend I had corresponded with in the last couple of days to say his email had been hacked and DO NOT open anything 'weird' from him. Sure enough, I had received an email but thankfully deleted it. I don't have anything much in my email account, except all my story chapters, saved video links and anything else of general interest on the internet (about Daniel usually) that I want to find and keep. If I was "hacked" does that mean I could lose all my files????! :? I updated all my security protections last night.......

At least Daniel comes out clean. His voice mail was hacked, which is a criminal offence, I believe, and he never tried to gain publicity by disgraceful "games" with the media. But, shamefully, a lot of celebrities do so and then they complain when things don't come up to their expectations.

Bhe is good, but M. Campbell has deffo been the better choice. He really understood Daniel in terms of how to make him look his best.
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

Maybe he could teach some lessons to Mr Mendes (with all respect for Mr Mendes).

Vaughan managed to make THE best movie of the X Men franchise - "First Class"... I think he would do very well with Bond... if Sam moves on. Daniel would still have to appear though... 8)

Vaughn always has been very keen to make a Bond movie but that's all in the past. He said he has "his" Bond movie made when he did First class.

This movie was very bondish (in the old sense) with a over the top villan and the overall style.

I don't think he will do one but I surely would appriciate it. He's a great director, I like all his (four  ) movies and they are all very different.

Haha!! What a great article. Oh, what I would have given to have that as a writing assignment in school!

Well, Google couldn't find it. If it's not a 'practical joke', it is the kind of website that would be up one day and down the next....

Francis Bacon's George Dyer painting sells for £26.7m at London auction.

Francis Bacon’s triptych of his lover George Dyer has brought £26.7m at auction in London.

The figurative painter’s 1967 artwork is believed to be based on photos taken by his friend John Deakin.

Presented in three frames, “Three Studies for Portrait of George Dyer” is one of just five triptychs of Dyer known to exist in the small-format, and had never before appeared at auction.

The painting, which has remained in the same private collection since 1970, shows Dyer dressed in a camel jumper set against a beige background, his face distorted.

It was created at the height of their affair and exhibited in Bacon’s 1971 retrospective at Paris’ Grand Palais.

Dyer tragically killed himself on the night of the important exhibition, which haunted Bacon for years afterwards. He continued to paint Dyer, who features in his famous Black Triptychs.

Sotheby’s has confirmed that last night’s sale beat Bacon’s previous £23m record for a work in the same format.

“The driving force tonight was passion,” said Sotheby’s Cheyenne Westphal. “The Bacon was bought by collectors who truly wanted to own it. It was a completely private market that came from virtually every side of the world and people wanted to own this wonderful piece and live with it.”

Four telephone bidders battled for the painting with Helena Newman, chairwoman of Sotheby’s Impressionist and Modern Art department in Europe, winning.

Bacon’s large-scale triptych, “Three Studies of Lucien Freud”, sold for $142m at Christie’s last November to set the record for the most expensive artwork ever sold at auction.

Daniel once said, he wanted a Bacon. Wonder if he already has. 26 mill. I believe is still a bit out of reach, if he doesn't want to diminish his fortune considerably.

Yes, that is eye-wateringly expensive! Maybe he might be able to afford one of the smaller ones. This was a triptych, so three paintings in one.

His wealth combined with RW's, they should be able to afford something from Bacon.....and it is a golden investment. Unlike stocks and shares it will never go down in value!! 8)
