Looks like Barbara (Barbie) Broccoli is going to bat for the girls.

James Bond wont bare all in next 007 flick

Washington , Apr 11 (ANI)

It surely is hard luck for all Daniel Craig female fans, for the actors iconic character of James Bond will not shed his clothes in the next 007 movie.

However, Bond bosses have revealed that they continue to insist Craig to consider baring all in the next Bond flick.

Producers have slammed rumours that the 40-year-old star would pose nude for the next 007 movie, Quantum Of Solace, but they did agree that they tried convincing him for the same.

It certainly was an eye-candy for girls when the actor gave a glimpse of his perfect physique donning a skimpy pair of swimming shorts in Casino Royale.

However, producer Barbara Broccoli has revealed she hasn’t yet convinced Craig to go one step further and be fully nude in the forthcoming Quantum of Solace.

“I’m always after him to take his clothes off, every day. I have to fight on behalf of all the women, and some of the men, too. I’m doing my best, Contactmusic quoted her, as telling AOL movies. (ANI)

Craig attends Fool film premiere
James Bond actor Daniel Craig has attended the UK premiere of his latest movie Flashbacks of a Fool in London's Leicester Square.

The film, about a washed-up movie actor struggling to come to terms with his career coming to an end, was written with Craig in mind.

The star, who doubled up as executive producer, said all actors faced the prospect of becoming a has-been.

"It's part of the profession," the 40-year-old said.

"Who knows what the future holds for me," he added.

"It could turn on a six-pence as we all know it can, but I think the important thing is if you look after the people around you, the people who do genuinely care about you, then you'll survive anything."

'World famous'

Speaking about the role of Joe Scott, he said: "You are meeting the character when he was on the downslide. "He is at a stage when he could have had everything in his life but he has thrown it all away."

Claire Forlani, Keeley Hawes and Mark Strong also star in the film.

Strong said: "It's a film that we've been trying to get made for ages, and now Dan's world famous it really helped bring together the money.

"What we have now is a fantastic, beautiful British film."

http://uk.rottentomatoes.com/news/1721907/

Starting to loose track of how new something really is - so sorry, if already posted.
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

Craig eyes stage role

Daniel Craig is planning to return to his theatrical roots with a stint on the stage, as soon as he can take a break from playing James Bond.
The British star made his stage debut with a production of Shakespeare's Troilus and Cressida at the age of 16, before studying alongside fellow leading men Ewan McGregor and Joseph Fiennes at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
After years of struggling with an acting troupe, Craig moved on to film with his big-screen debut in 1992's 'The Power of One' before becoming the latest 007.
Now the 40-year-old is considering returning to tread the boards on London's West End - but only if he can find the right material.
Craig told AOL movies: "My ideal would be to choose some new writing. I have nothing against the classics, but new writing to me seems like it gives you a chance to try new stuff out, stuff no one's ever seen before. I think that makes for a much more exciting theatre experience."

Of we are to West End, but I doubt, it will happen any time soon. There will always be film projects in he way - of the sort, he can´t avoid doing.

James Bond's Daniel Craig sticks to strict regime of blowouts
Last Updated: 1:26am BST 15/04/2008

Daniel Craig's torso may have set many a girl's heart racing when he emerged from the sea in Casino Royale, but all the working out it necessitated was a bore for the steely-eyed actor.

"I mean, no one enjoys going to the gym, but it is part of my job these days to keep in shape," he told me glumly at the opening of his film Flashbacks of a Fool in Leicester Square.

Every three months, however, he permits himself what he calls a night of shame.

"I eat all the stuff I shouldn't, drink lots of booze and finish it all off with a few cigars," he confides.

Hummmmm, sounds like some party!

It was posted as a link before but I really like this interview  Especially part about his ego and blue trunks 8)

Daniel Craig: 'Just getting on with things'
Daniel Craig took time out from filming the latest Bond movie Quantum of Solace to attend the premiere of his new film Flashbacks of a Fool.
He plays a washed-up Hollywood star who tries to come to terms with his troubled past as he revisits the seaside town where he grew up.

Craig spoke to Newsbeat about his own ego and why, considering all the fuss over those blue trunks in Bond movie Casino Royale, he's stripping off again.

It seemed like Flashbacks of a Fool was quite a passion project for you?

Baillie Walsh, the director, is my best friend so I've kind of believed in his talent for a long time. I wanted him to do a feature film to shut him up mainly. And this script is something that he wrote five or six years ago, with me in mind. Thankfully we've managed to pull it together.

If your best friend writes a film with you in mind and it's as a faded actor, who is an egomaniac and very vain - how does that make you feel?

You can see what sort of friend he is. The fact is that the character's a fading movie star... he's not even fading, he's perfectly capable of working, he's screwing up his life - I mean he's a mess.

Was there ever a time when your ego got a bit out of control?

No.

Really?

Yes. Really.

They do say that movie stars can be stroppy - are you always nice to normal people, real people?

I behave the way I do, I mean I don't try and behave like anything else. If I believe in something then I'll say. I can't answer that question, "Are you different now?" I just get on with things.

You seem to be quite comfortable with the level of fame. But when you first got Bond, it appeared you didn't really like it very much, you didn't like the press attention.
Who would? I mean I don't know who would like that kind of press attention - it's very intrusive. But I mean, I realised that's what would happen and I had to just shut up about it and get on with things. The main thing is that we managed to do the film and we managed to make a good film. That was always my aim and I've just got to try and do another one now.

You famously hated that everybody concentrated on you and your blue trunks in the Bond movie. Yet for the first 10 minutes of this film you're naked and you walk around quite happily naked.

The hypocrisies of life. You're suggesting that I hated that moment, I mean I don't hate it. It's fine. I think everybody thinks that I hate it. It works. It's just the fact that it's the only thing people choose to talk about, that's what bothers me. I get my kit off because that's where this guy is at the beginning of the movie.

And that is obviously what people will talk about when it first comes out as well.

I don't care.

Flashback of a Fool also stars Claire Forlani, Keeley Hawes and Mark Strong. It is released in UK cinemas on 18 April.
