Thinking of another "little" Daniel - this sight might be even funnier.

Now that is a hospital I would not mind staying at.
If there's a doctor out there somewhere that looks like Daniel I'll willingly go to hospital :D
What wrong with Ray being your nurse? He has knowledge of all the medications you would need to take and stay at the hospital. Ray is feeling a bit hurt.

Did Daniel play a doctor in his films in the past?

No way am I letting Ray be my nurse! Didn't you see how he handled his own medication? No way am I putting him in charge of mine. Now sponge baths and massages...that is a different story.

Oh that is true, Ray can't be trusted with medications. I told him that and he got upset but I told him he can be in charge of baths and massages. He was happy with that. But just be careful with him, he can be very easily aroused. he might jump on you. Who knows? But I will keep an eye on him.

Lu, you really make me laugh!

Buff Dudes [Aug. 18th, 2008|10:32 pm]

I can't really say I've ever been inspired/made to feel insecure by the bodies of male celebrities and models. I guess that when I saw FIGHT CLUB in high school I thought that Brad Pitt looked pretty cool with his shirt off, but I mostly just enjoyed how that played into Ed Norton's worship of Pitt's character.

Last night, though, Reuben and I rewatched CASINO ROYALE for the third or whatever time, and the same thing hit me that always does when I see it. I think that Daniel Craig's buffness is awesome. It's not just good-looking, but it seems mature, hard-earned, and appreciated. And it lets him throw himself around the sets like crazy and make it look really fun to jump on and off of moving vehicles. He has made me appreciate the buffness of the action hero. Being ripped is a tool, and one to be used carefully. If you are a less buff Bond, then you are slow and boring like Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan.

I also like the idea of cybersilence, but that's a discussion for a time when I'm not sleepy and full of good food and a little tipsy.
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

Gemma Aterton to play Tess of the D'urbervilles.

I gotta say, Nastassja Kinski in Roman Polanski's "Tess" is one of my all time favourite tragic heroines, so we'll wait to see how Gemma measures up.

Regular QoS bed pic of Gemma and Daniel in here too: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/ar ... ramas.html

Rosamund Pike bonds with Dame Judi Dench in `Madame De Sade`

Rosamund Pike will be reunited with Dame Judi Dench when they take to the stage in Madame De Sade at the Wyndham’s theatre in March next year. The pair previously appeared together in the 2002 James Bond film Die Another Day, reports London Theatre.

Pike, whose big breakthrough came playing the chilling Miranda Frost in Pierce Brosnan’s final blockbuster outing as the suave British secret agent, has recently made a name for herself on the London stage, appearing in plays including Summer And Smoke, Gaslight and Hitchcock Blonde. Since filming Die Another Day, her screen appearances have included The Libertine, opposite Johnny Depp, and Pride And Prejudice, alongside Keira Knightley.

In Yukio Mishima’s play Madame De Sade, Pike plays title character Renée, wife of the notorious Marquis De Sade, whose story is told from the viewpoint of six women. Dench plays Renée’s mother, who disagrees with her daughter’s devotion to a husband imprisoned in the Bastille.

Dench is one of London theatre’s most lauded performers, with a total of seven Laurence Olivier Awards collected during her career to date. Among her recent London performances, the theatrical dame starred in Hayfever in 2006 and The Breath Of Life in 2002. On screen she has become a regular in the Bond films, playing M to both Brosnan and Daniel Craig’s 007, and won an Oscar for her performance in Shakespeare In Love.

Madame De Sade is the third play to be staged at the Wyndham’s as part of the Donmar West End season which also includes Kenneth Branagh in Ivanov, Derek Jacobi in Twelfth Night and Jude Law playing Hamlet.

From Internet Movie Database:
Mikkelsen Oblivious To Bond Movies

James Bond villain Mads Mikkelsen had never seen any of the spy films before starring in Casino Royale.

The Danish born actor admits that he was never interested in the 007 franchise before he was offered a part in the 2006 picture opposite Daniel Craig.

But after completing work on the movie, Mikkelsen purchased a box set of all of the Bond films - to find out what had happened previously in the series

He says, "To be honest, I hadn't seen any Bond films before I did that one. But I did not have a great relationship to Bond at all, and I didn't go back and see the other movies before making Casino Royale.

"There is nothing wrong with the other ones. They were perfect for their time, but this script was fairly radical for a lot of people, and we had to catch up."

And although he isn't the biggest Bond fan, Mikkelsen is full of praise for Craig.

"I'm very proud to have been a part of it. Daniel Craig was excellent. He is a fantastic and a great guy to work with. We were a very tight unit making Bond."

Mads Mikkelsen reflects on Casino Royale whilst shooting in Scotland

The last time Scottish film fans saw Mads Mikkelsen, he was a suave, black-suited villain who wept bloody tears and took on Daniel Craig's James Bond in games of cards and torture.
