must be a Bond thing

it's all over the german websites:

Pierce Brosnan saved Uma Thurman

http://www.klatsch-tratsch.de/2009/05/2 ... a-thurman/

The article says that a van had started to coast driverless on set of 'Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief' and was going to hit Uma.
Pierce ran after and jumped into the car and slammed on the brakes.

Sounds familiar  seems as if Bond-actors are the guardian angles of their female costars.

Stars in 'Free Suu Kyi' plea to Burma

Published: Today

CELEBS yesterday joined Prime Minister Gordon Brown in preparing messages of support for Burma's imprisoned opposition leader.
David Beckham, George Clooney and James Bond star Daniel Craig are all backing Aung San Suu Kyi.
The human rights and democracy campaigner has been held under house arrest for 13 of the past 19 years by the military junta that runs the country.
And she currently stands accused of breaking the terms of her confinement.
Famous faces have been asked to write 64-word messages of support to be delivered on her 64th birthday on June 19.
Website 64forSuu.org features messages, including one from Mr Brown.
In it, he says: "I add my voice to the growing chorus of those demanding your release."
Clooney, Beckham and Craig have signed a message from campaign group Not On Our Watch.

Jensen has made fifth place in AfterElton's Hot 100 of 2009

• May. 26th, 2009 at 11:01 PM

JENSEN ACKLES from TV show Supernatural has made fifth place in AfterElton's Hot 100 of 2009, a countdown of the most desirable male celebrities of television and movies.
Ackles, 31, is followed by Fantastic Four and Push actor Chris Evans at No6, Wolverine star Hugh Jackman at No8 and Spider-Man's James Franco at No10.
Twilight fans may not be happy to see Robert Pattinson at a lowly 40th position on the list, although fellow teen heart-throb Zac Efron is just outside the top 10 in 11th place. Jensen Ackles (pictured above) stars in Supernatural with Jared Padalecki (right) who comes 12th.
The countdown is topped by Neil Patrick Harris, with Torchwood star John Barrowman at No2 and fellow Torchwood actor Gareth David Lloyd at No14. Misha Collins, who is to become a series regular in Supernatural, sneaks in at No93.
Ryan Reynolds, who played sword-twirling Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is at No21, X-Men actor James Marsden, who played Cyclops, is 27th and Channing Tatum is 30th.
Heroes actor Milo Ventimiglia comes in at No31, while Zachary Quinto - who plays Sylar in Heroes and the young Spock in the new Star Trek film - is at No94. The Star Trek movie's new Captain Kirk, actor Chris Pine, is 75th in the countdown.
Batman and Terminator Salvation star Christian Bale is 56th on the list, well below Bond actor Daniel Craig at No32, Smallville star Tom Welling at No35 and Doctor Who's David Tennant at No37.

Daniel Craig, a k a James Bond, and Hugh Jackman, aka Wolverine, will team up in a new play this fall on Broadway, The Post has learned.

The drama, "A Steady Rain" by Keith Huff, is about two Chicago cops whose lifelong friendship is put to the test when they become involved in a domestic dispute in a poor neighborhood.

Craig, whose Bond movies "Casino Royale" and "Quantum of Solace" are among the highest grossing films of all time, will be making his New York stage debut. He started off in the theater in London, playing bit parts, but he has not appeared in a play in several years.

Jackman won a Tony Award in 2004 for his role as Peter Allen in "The Boy From Oz."

Although the musical received mixed reviews, Jackman became a box-office sensation, shaking a pair of maracas and flouncing around the stage in tight leopard pants.

"The Boy From Oz" regularly grossed more than $1 million a week. Jackman became the most sought-after leading man in the theater, though he's turned down every offer to star in another show until now.

"Everybody wanted him to do a musical, but he wanted to do a serious play," a theater source says.

Barbara Broccoli, who oversees the James Bond movie franchise, is producing "A Steady Rain." She arrives in New York from Europe this weekend to scout out Broadway theaters, sources said.

The daughter of legendary James Bond producer Albert "Cubby" Broccoli, Barbara Broccoli produced "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" on Broadway in 2005.

It was a $10 million flop.

She should do better this time around.

Theater sources say Craig and Jackman have the potential to match Broadway's biggest box- office champ, Julia Roberts, who sold over $10 million worth of tickets in just 12 weeks in the play "Three Days of Rain" in 2006.

Although "A Steady Rain" is harsh and harrowing, one Broadway wag pre dicted that even those theatergoers whose tastes run to splashy musicals will want to see it.

Said the wag: "Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman in police uniforms? All the boys will be there!"

I think Bond's soul comes into them and then they become real-life heroes . Great they do such things.

We should probably hunt on youtube and see if it is already up there first, before you spend any money.
I've not been able to find it on youtube.
I've added it and bumped to the first position. I'll be glad to add it to my YouTube 'to do' list.
Ok, it's nothing we haven't seen. It's not really a cameo, but news reel footage from a Bafta red carpet event. Looks like 2006, but I'll have to verify. Not worth posting, we've already seen it.
Crazy!

"Shia LaBeouf who has been in the “Transformers” movies, and Daniel Craig, the newest James Bond, topped the list of biggest gainers, rising 43 points and 36 points, respectively."

Wherever he might be on the list, its great news, he has gained bankability.

Hope it's true! He looks like he'd make a good boxer (he's got the body and the face for it) 8)

That's true. You immediately believe he could be a boxer who wins most of his fights. He should use his fantastic body state and play this role. But I don't want to imagine how the work between Dan and Angelina willbe. I guess they kiss each other's ass .

I highly doubt it's true, but it would be a great role.
