I just found out that early previews are being shown in my area Saturday night for The Golden Compass.

Here's the link for those in the US. Put in your zip code and change the date to 12/1. You may have to change the mile range.

Pamela & Christine - you lucky girls! I am so envious! It must have been wonderful to see Daniel in the flesh and be so close to him! Great photos too, thanks.

I had planned to go to the premiere but unfortunately I was up all the previous night in agony with toothache and had to have an emergency appointment at the dentist in the morning, so I was not feeling very good. I just can't believe it - of all days of the year for this to happen! I will definitely try to make the next one.

I have two questions. Did Daniel look taller than you expected? How early did you have to be there to be allowed through the barrier?

I actually didnt think he looked that tall and he looked thinner, very much a pre bond body but Eva Green was very small and very thin as well. Maybe its because we seen them on the big screen and we think they are actually taller than they are.

I actually waited in Leicester Square from 9.30am on the day and it was quite fun watching all day long the comings and goings of people and the preparation i.e. boarding the posters up outside the cinema and TV and news crews arriving and inteviewing people up and down the line and rehearsing their lines and laying the red carpet. It is quite interesting all the preparation that goes into the red carpet arrivals.

When will be the premiere in New York and Los Angeles? Will be Daniel there? I didn't find any information about it.

No premieres were ever arranged in the US. And as of Friday, all interviews by Nicole and DC have been cancelled.

I've read somewhere that Danile isn't at the promotour in New York and Los Angeles, but don't know where I've read it,,,maybe at the D2D-frontpage

There is a good sign because Casino Royale hadn't got a big US premiere and became very succesful movie. I don't understand because Nicole Kidman is very big star in America and GC is a big budget movie.
