Surrey charity screening announced for `Quantum of Solace`

Event - 03-10-08

A special charity screening of the new James Bond film "Quantum of Solace" is being held in a Surrey town to raise money for wounded soldiers - reports the BBC.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Reigate will host the event at the Screen Cinema in Bancroft Road on 31 October, the day the 22nd Bond film hits UK cinemas.

Money raised will go to Help for Heroes charity, that helps military personnel wounded in Britain's current conflicts.

The Mayor, Roger Newstead, said it was a chance to help a great cause.

Councillor Newstead added: "The charity screening of the film is an opportunity to see it on its release date and to help a great cause."

Princes William and Harry have asked for proceeds from the world premiere in Leicester Square on 29 October to go towards Help for Heroes and the Royal British Legion.

Since its launch in October 2007, Help for Heroes has raised £6m for wounded servicemen and women

I was just wondering does Agent Fields die covered in oil? perhaps a homage to Goldfinger when Shirley Eaton dies covered in Gold, oil is Black Gold

My appologies if this has been broached before but I was just wondering because both wowen were lying in the same position face down on the bed.

Hi, haven't been here for a while, but for anyone out there who is going to the QoS Premier, i'll be there too. I have tickets for the first paying public view of the film, which is part of the British Film Festival , 8.15pm 29th Oct. I understand that this showing is a couple of hours after the red carpet premier in Leicester Square. So i intend to hang round Odeon 1 and perhaps get lucky and see DC, then walk over to Odeon 2 to see the film at 8.15pm. Does anyone know what time the red carpet premier kicks off at? 6pm? like Golden Compass and FOAF? Does anyone know how it is rated ie. 12 or 15? Have four tickets and want to take the children.

Hope to meet up with a few of you. Let me know!!
