Call me thick, but isn't that a strange complaint that Daniel is predominant in the trailer. This is a James Bond Film, Daniel Craig is playing Bond, so why wouldn't the trailer highlight him.

I agree, you really get the point. A Bond-trailer without much of Bond? How stupid would that be??
Oh, Mr. Bond!

I like Leona better too . I think Beonce is overrated as a singer and actress . One year she sang all the nominated songs for Oscar and I hated it .

Bond without a tux in the gun barrel , say it ain't so ????

Laredo, I think you'll find that the gun barrel only features the tux in half of the films, eg Connery never wore one or even did his own gun barrels in all of his films, thus if Daniel isn't wearing one in QOS he will not be breaking tradition. We tend to be a bit blinkered sometimes.

July 2nd with Hancock. But it supposed to at least leak before that date. :D
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

Jesper Christensen calls Daniel Craig`s version of 007 `dumb`

Jesper Christensen's choice of words about Daniel Craig's portrayal of James Bond in a recent interview with Total Film Magazine may leave the 007 actor a little tweaked.

“He’s the new modern Bond,” said Christensen, who reprises his role of Mr White in the upcoming "Quantum of Solace".

“He’s slightly dumb and going his own way. You’re not sure you can trust him with anything because obviously he’s not that clever, especially compared to the Roger Moore version who was on top of everything."

“That’s what I like about him,” he said, testily.

“It’s 'shoot first and ask questions later.' That was Fleming's image of Bond. It was 'kick the door in and see what happens. If he’s standing on top of a building, there’s a 20ft gap, he can’t see what’s down below – he jumps. And if he hurts himself, he hurts himself. The chances are he won’t and he’ll move on. If that’s dumb...?”

I agree. Daniel has said about the charachter he plays in CR: "We start at the beginning. In this movie, we see a character who hasn't been completely formed as the character we understand as James Bond"

There was a short interview with Jesper Christensen on danish tv a while ago. He talked about how it was to be on a set like Bond compared to e.g. a danish movie set which it's a lot smaller. He felt it was a bit strange to have assistants to walk you from A to B. He said they almost went with you to the bathroom  Another thing he mentioned was the Bond hysteria and all the Bond related stuff you can get. He mentioned a Bond ice cream, well I'd personally love to lick that :D :D
The (female) interviewer was very interested in if Jesper got to hang out with Daniel but he said they didn't have time for that because Daniel was very busy.

Ben and Jerry shoud do a Bond Icecream .

I watched AMC"s Shootout and Mike Myers was talking about Austen Powers being based on the Bond before CR and he made sure you knew it was the 2nd CR and not the first one that was "funny" .

Steve Carrel also said he was baseing Maxwell Smart on Bond and not Don Adams character on the show which was kind of a dis i think . I think the character on the show was based on Bond to begin with just like The Man From Uncle was. .

Principal photography expected to wrap in next few days as strike looms

The threat of a strike by Hollywood actors from June 30 onwards is already disrupting Hollywood productions, with studios either reluctant to greenlight projects or accelerating the pace of existing productions - reports The Guardian.

"No one is doing anything that finishes after June 30, [and] nobody's starting anything now. There is the impact of a strike already," a lawyer representing artists told the Hollywood Reporter. Close to 120,000 actors could down tools at the end of the month if their main union, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), and Tinseltown studio representatives are unable to renew the contract regulating actors' employment. If thesps do go on strike, it would immediately shut down all Hollywood productions as they cannot be replaced.

Studio MGM has yet to greenlight the remake of Fame or the sequel to the 1999 version of the Thomas Crown Affair. Several projects have also been pushed into production in April so that they could complete filming by June 30, including Martin Scorsese's 50s cop thriller Shutter Island starring Leonardo DiCaprio or Steven Soderbergh's whistleblower drama The Informant. These and others, such as the latest Bond outing Quantum of Solace or Disney's High School Musical 3, are expected to wrap in the coming days. Meanwhile, several high-cost productions, such as the videogame adaptation Prince of Persia, Nottingham - Ridley Scott's retelling of the Robin Hood tale - or Roland Emmerich's apocalyptic action movie 2012, won't start filming until late summer, in the expectation that an actors' strike would run only in July.

Other projects, such as the sequel to the blockbusting hit Transformers or the adaptation of the Dan Brown bestseller Angels and Demons, have already planned a break in their schedule, which they hope will coincide with the length of a strike action. Transformers 2 director Michael Bay says he could switch his focus to special effects during a strike, and return to filming with actors if and when it's over.

Films expected to be less affected by a possible strike are indie features, as SAG and small production companies have signed agreements allowing filming on more than 300 projects to be completed even if a strike takes place.

If industrial action does take place, it would be the second major strike disruption in Tinseltown in less than a year. Between November 2007 and February 2008, screenwriters downed pens after their union and Hollywood studio representatives could not renew the contract regulating writers' employment terms.

Japan gets `Quantum of Solace` release date in 2009

Columbia Pictures and Sony have updated the official release date list for the upcoming James Bond film "Quantum of Solace" with news for Japanese fans. The list now states Daniel Craig's second outing as 007 will be released in Japan in 2009. Previously, no date had been given.

British fans will get to enjoy the new film first when it is released on 31st October 2008, with the USA, Canada and all European releases the following week.

Australian fans have to wait until 27th November, with some Latin America release dates stretching out in to December.

It is expected that Japan will be the last territory to open the film.

Last time around, Japanese fans only had to wait a couple of weeks following the UK release for "Casino Royale", but had an agonising four month delay for the 2002 outing "Die Another Day". It looks like fans in Japan will have to show their patience once again for "Quantum of Solace".
