Tabloids drag Grace Jones in to title song rumours

MEDIA RUMOUR
Hold on to your hats... The Sun has dragged another name in to the "Quantum of Solace" title song race, and this one is from left-field.

The paper (with its usual lack of a bullcrap filter) reported, "singer Grace Jones is the latest who thinks she could do the title track for next movie Quantum Of Solace. A source revealed: “There have been very positive discussions. It’s looking very hopeful."

Grace played May Day in the 1985 James Bond film "A View To A Kill" opposite Roger Moore in his final outing as 007.

Beyoncé, Leona Lewis, Duran Duran, Jack White, Duffy, Annie Lennox and, most recently, Alicia Keys have been rumoured in recent months.

`Quantum of Solace` videogame trailer released online

Activision officially unveiled their first James Bond title "Quantum of Solace: The Game" at E3 today, following sneak previews in the trade press last month.

It is the first 007 videogame title since EA published "From Russia With Love" in 2005 and subsequently relinquished the licence, which Activision snapped up.

Press and industry folk got to see the new trailer for the game today at E3 in Los Angeles, and it was quickly distributed online.

Click here to view online (YouTube).

The trailer features voice over work by Dame Judi Dench as M, with new dialogue recorded just for the game.

I remember that he said he didn't like opera very much. Did he say this somewhere or Did I dream this?

He did say it - trust Dunda to find the right interview

Other then that, I remember him saying - answering a question - that he would be interested in seeing the opera as a whole. If that was out of politeness (he sometimes is  ) or true, I don´t know. Maybe its even a marketing event he has to attend.
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

I think DC along with people who wouldn't normally enjoy opera would enjoy this as it's more of an event, from what I've seen of the stage etc it's most impressive. As this will also be part of QOS the excitment level would also give it additional buzz

Yes - it does seem like it would be good publicity for QoS. Something every month to keep the buzz going until November.

If opening night is July 23, and they arrived LA July 10 - does that luggage look like it holds enough for 10 days in LA? Of course, there's always shopping on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, for other sundries. Didn't he say once that James Bond would buy what he needed instead of taking luggage? Would be interested to see how many suitcases he leaves LA with.
