From this angle, he always looked like that, just think of James "I am all ears" - but he certainly is tired...Hoping for some hot trunk pics with a tanned and relaxed Dan the next time. :D

James Bond's tailor is Ford, Tom Ford

The lauded fashion designer has made suits for Daniel Craig, and for 'Quantum of Solace' he's dressed James Bond too.

It's official: When James Bond returns for the next installment of the 007 franchise in November, he'll be ditching the Brioni suits he's worn for the last five movies and taking up with Tom Ford.

Ford confirmed the news Monday during men's fashion week as he was getting ready to open his new five-story, 11,478-square-foot menswear store in Milan's "Golden Triangle" luxury shopping district.

"It's a terrific representation for us," said Ford, against the backdrop of the polished Macassar wood walls of his made-to-measure suiting salon. "A lot of people think if you wear conservative clothing your life is dull and uninteresting. But James Bond is this character who is sophisticated yet he sleeps with three girls at once and [has a car] with parachutes coming out of it. His life is very interesting, so I thought it was a good fit."

It's not too much of a leap, since Bond actor Daniel Craig was one of the first celebrities Ford dressed in his namesake men's line launched last year, which has a traditional, English bespoke feel.

Ford first made a name for himself in the womenswear arena during his tenure as creative director of Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent. After his high-profile departure in 2004, he took his rock-star status, dashing good looks and creative energies elsewhere. He's dabbled in publishing, as guest editor for the 2006 Vanity Fair Hollywood issue in which he appeared on the cover alongside Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightley (they were naked, he was not) and Hollywood (the part-time L.A. resident said he wants to direct), before launching fragrance and eyewear collections in 2005.
He opened his first menswear store on Madison Avenue in April 2007. Since then, his Italian-made suits (which start at $3,800 off the rack and $5,000 made-to-measure) have been seen on A-listers such as Brad Pitt, who recently showed up at the Cannes Film Festival in a Tom Ford.

The designer said he didn't differentiate between the way he dressed Bond on screen in "Quantum of Silence" and the way he dresses the man who plays him. "Their tastes are very similar," Ford said. "Daniel knows himself really well and he likes to keep it very, very, very, very simple. For example, it's hard to get him to wear diamond studs with a tuxedo. He prefers buttons."

Ford worked with the film's costume designer, Louise Frogley, to create made-to-measure suits, shirts, knitwear, ties and a Tom Ford take on the well-dressed British agent's signature tuxedo, in navy blue.

"We made about 420 pieces for 11 costume changes," Ford said. "For each scene we made three suits that were perfect, three suits that were bloodied and blown up, three suits that were bloodied, blown up and had been in a pool -- and then we had to make most of those different permutations for the stunt men as well."

Ford said the opportunity arose because Craig was already a fan of his work -- and apparently the feelings are mutual.

"He's the best Bond since Sean Connery. He's a terrific guy to dress and he's pretty powerful with what he wears."

My usual visit to CBn payed off wonderfully today
One of the members was lucky 2 see 10 mins of footage from QOS!!!
Tonight Sony showed about 10 minutes of QOS footage at CinemaExpo in Amsterdam. Introduced by M.G. Wilson and Olga Kurylenko, footage focussed on the globetrotting aspect of the film and showed bits from practically every location. Sienna sequence looked spectacular. Great Aston Martin mountain chase. A lot of running like in opening sequence of CR :-) Bits of scenes with both Bond girls, M, Leiter, Mathis, Mr. White... EXCELLENT, can't wait to see the complete film.
Afterwards spoke briefly to Wilson and Olga during the QOS themed dinner party and evening was made complete with a fantastic QoS-logoed box/case containing a cocktail set (in order to get that one had to attend Sony's Pineapple Express).
I guess some of the highlights of these ten minutes will be in the teaser trailer. For some reason Sony decided not to show any trailers tonight, hence no premiere of the Bond teaser that I'd hoped for... Got confirmation that yes there will be a traditional Gunbarrel sequence for QOS.
As has been posted before this is a true sequel in the sense that it starts one hour after CR.

Some more updates from the same thread
Sony's international distribution president Mark Zucker began his presentation with the usual claim that the studio's upcoming releases represented one of its best slates ever. Expectations were whetted even more when exhibs were asked to cough up all cell phones and BlackBerrys before the first peek at Sony's "Quantum of Solace," the 22nd James Bond film.

Michael Wilson, the film's producer along with Barbara Broccoli, and latest Bond girl Olga Kurylenko were on hand to introduce 10 minutes of footage from the recently wrapped Daniel Craig starrer. With director Marc Forster ("The Kite Runner") now overseeing postproduction, the segment featured a temporary soundtrack, but the audience responded well to scenes from London, Italy and Bolivia. "Quantum" unspools in the U.K. in late October and the rest of the world the first weekend of November.

Not to be outdone, Sony Pictures Releasing Intl. treated Cinema Expo auds to extended exclusive footage from latest Bond pic "Quantum of Solace," which finished shooting Thursday.

High-octane 007 action sequences set in London, Haiti, Austria, Italy and Bolivia were introduced by producer Michael G. Wilson and Bond girl Olga Kurylenko.

Wilson cleared up some misunderstanding about the pic's unusual title, explaining it's the name of an Ian Fleming short story and means measure of comfort. He also quipped that it's what Craig needed after the rough and tumble of "Casino Royale."

I have no doubt, that this is going to be one hell of a movie. The action will freak out all the action craving people out there and Mark has seen to it, that we´ll get some slower moments too.

'Quantum of Solace' - Official Blog Report #14

Discussion with additional unit director Simon Crane
‘I’m a second unit director for the boat sequence here in Panama,’ says Crane.
‘We’re doing a great sequence where James Bond leaps onto a motorbike and then onto a boat; chases after another boat, smashes into it, gets the girl, is in a shootout … it’s going to be very, very exciting.’
‘The complications are trying to make something new,’ Crane says of the sequence. ‘I mean, we did a fantastic boat sequence in The World is not Enough, so it’s trying to better that. What we’re trying to do is make it much more aggressive, much more natural. Just hard-hitting, real action. No CG.’
Daniel [Craig] is very active and very agile. He wants to get involved in everything and can drive this boat really well. And so, the more we can do with him, the better it’s going to be.’
