Winslet 'angry about Mendes, Weisz talks'
Kate Winslet is reportedly angry that Sam Mendes is in touch with his ex-girlfriend Rachel Weisz.
Winslet and Mendes announced their split earlier this year.
However, the Daily Mail claims that Mendes, who is thought to be lined up to direct the next James Bond movie, has contacted Weisz to ask if she wants a role in the film.
"As soon as Kate and Sam split, he was on the phone asking Rachel if she was interested in doing the movie," a source said. "Rachel has always been persona non grata in the Winslet-Mendes household and Kate went ballistic when she heard that Sam wanted to hire her.
"Sam has wanted to work with Rachel for ages, but Kate would not allow it. Although they ran in the same Hollywood circles, they avoided each other."
Weisz recently admitted that she would love a role in the new James Bond film.

Interesting but somehow slightly stupid experiment over at CBN. One member has made up a rumor about Jamie Bell being in Bond 23 and posted it in fanblogs etc etc. First reactions are there from contactmusiv. Now they are waiting how far this will go and if it will be taken serious by the media. There is a good chance it will.
He wanted to proof, how easy it is to fake rumors. As if we don´t know that

MGM UPDATE: Relativity Media Offers $500M Investment Towards New Productions
EXCLUSIVE... 2ND UPDATE: Insiders tell me that Relativity Media, which is long backed by New York-based hedge fund Elliott Associates, is joining the expanding list of Hollywood types who want to see nearly bankrupt MGM become a stand-alone but restructured studio. To that end, Relativity has offered a $500M investment in MGM so the studio could start making new productions including more James Bond, The Hobbit pics, etc. It's not Relativity's aim to get involved with managing the studio, just to take over a lot of control over the production side. I hear this offer was made 3 weeks ago and kept under wraps. But others have already made similar offers, including News Corp and Qualia Capital, the investment fund run by Amir Malin and Ken Schapiro. The only question now is whether the bondholders, since the studio auction looks busted, will allow MGM to take one of these offers and make more movies -- or, worst case scenario, push the studio into bankruptcy.

Mendes talk against 3D
Calls Craig, 'Danny', guess their good mates, well good enough mates for him to admit Dan gives a bad audtion and shouldn't have accepted Bond.
I like the guy, their is an element of Bond in him, a very arrogant swagger. I think he'll get Bond very well.

Sam Mendes Off 'Preacher,' Says Producer
Back in 2008, director Sam Mendes said he'd "love to make 'Preacher,' but there’s no script" — a problem that was solved when screenwriter John August came on board the project.
However, Mendes was reportedly linked to the next "James Bond" film earlier this year, which caused some to question whether he'd still helm "Preacher." Now it appears that Mendes has officially left the project behind.
"We were originally talking with Sam Mendes about doing the movie," producer Neal Moritz told Collider. "Sam Mendes is going to go off and do the Bond movie, so there’s another director that we’re talking to right now."
