Revealed: Daniel Craig Helped Come Up With 'Real' 'Skyfall' Stunts
Star thought up some of the stunts that have made this Bond one of the biggest ever
It seems that Daniel Craig isn't just a pretty face as Bond, and in fact came up with some of the death defying stunts that might have made left his face looking a little less easy on the eye.
Stunt co-ordinator Gary Powell revealed that Craig put in his input and that a conscious effort was made by the team behind the movie to ensure that all the action was as real as possible, even if that meant neglecting the easy option of CGI.
The stunt man told MTV: "Obviously, [Craig] was there a lot. We had a second unit in Turkey shooting a lot of stuff with the doubles," adding: "Then Sam and Daniel come over towards the end, and then we did a few weeks with them and put him everywhere. He was in the car, did a lot of riding on the motor bike, obviously a lot of stuff on the train roof, getting into the digger, running across the digger, the fight stuff on the big bridge."
He then confirmed that in these scenes they didn't resort to computer trickery by saying: "Everything you see in that was all real people."
Powell even said that as Craig knows the character better than anyone, he was the best guy to ensure that everything was right with his character's stunts, and that he even helped come up with some of the elements of the stunts, adding: "When we start blocking out the fights, we get [the actors] in there and start going through it, and we want their input, because Daniel's going to play Bond how he plays Bond.
"He's the best person to tell us what he might be doing. A classic example is when he jumps off the digger and lands, he adjusts his cuff link. That was something [Craig] came up with."
One other element that the crew and cast enjoyed was the sheer strangeness to members of the public of seeing Craig driving around as Bond as he said: "It was just surreal driving down the road, and James Bond's driving this DB5 and you just see the looks on people's faces. 'Aw, freaking hell. Someone's driving a car that looks like Daniel Craig.' It was brilliant."

New Bond Girl Naomie Harris found herself in a very hairy situation with Daniel Craig when they were making Skyfall—and she didn't mind one bit!
And who could blame her? In one particularly hot scene, Harris, who plays one of James Bond's fellow agents, had to give Craig a shave with straight-edge razor while he was wearing nothing but a towel.
She actually trained with a barber for three weeks. "We started off on balloons and then we graduated to members of the crew and then finally onto Daniel," Harris says.
Even if she wasn't allowed to use a real razor on Craig, it was still nerve-wracking. "It's very distracting especially when he's wearing a towel," Harris said. "It's hard to stay focused. He's a very hot man."

It has already been mentioned that top critic Roger Ebert has given Skyfall a 4/4 star review.
This is trivial, but I thought that it was interesting that in his review posted here: http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/
Ebert says

Ebert says
In the first review I read, posted on DtD by Dunda, see:‘This is a full-blooded, joyous, intelligent celebration of a beloved cultural icon, with Daniel Craig taking full possession of a role he earlier played well in "Casino Royale", not so well in "Quantum" -- although it may not have been entirely his fault. Or is it just that he's growing on me? I don't know what I expected in Bond No. 23, but certainly not an experience this invigorating.’

As Ebert gave Casino Royale a good review in 2006, the former review for Skyfall makes more sense.‘This is a full-blooded, joyous, intelligent celebration of a beloved cultural icon, with Daniel Craig taking full possession of a role he previously played unconvincingly. I don’t know what I expected in Bond No. 23, but certainly not an experience this invigorating.’

Yes, I was a bit annoyed when I saw the rating had gone down from 93% to 91% since l last looked yesterday. I wouldn't like to see the rating dip below 90%, but at this stage it doesn't really matter as the film is an overwhelming success at the box office. I was pleased to read yesterday that SF has been awarded an 'A' Cinema Score grade.
Last night a few 'rotten' reviews came in, so let's hope that there will be a higher proportion of 'fresh' reviews to come to push up the RT rating.
