Sam Mendes is a fantastic director, I'm sure he'll make a very good movie.

I like Frieda but if Heidi is in it I think I will throw up ... might boycott or at least close my eyes . They shouldn't reward stupidity .

As for 4 th film , has more to do with agreeing to contracts and how much the last film made more then age . Pierce made it into his 50s I think .

Yes, but he played a less shysical Bond or rather didn´t do as many stunts himself - so there might be a difference and age might come into the picture with DC. But yes, much depends on how successful the third will be...and whether he is willing to cut down on the amount of stunts he is doing. He has a lot of pride in that and might see it as a sign to step down, when he can´t do as much as he wants.

MGM pushes back deadline on bids

Variety – Beleaguered MGM appears to have pushed back the deadline for binding offers until at least Monday.
The studio had no comment as Friday’s deadline for bids passed. The three most likely bidders—Access Industries, Lionsgate and Time Warner—also had no comment as to whether any of them had submitted offers.
Several people familiar with the situation said MGM had indicated it was extending the deadline.
The assets include rights to the James Bond and Hobbit franchises, a 4,000-title library and the MGM and United Artists logos and current operations. A decline in DVD revenues has led to a decline in expectations as to how much MGM would fetch in the auction.
If bids fall short of expectations or no bids materialize, MGM could attempt a recapitalization through investment bank Qualia Capital through a cash infusion and a debt-to-equity transaction that would allow MGM to remain in business as a stand-alone entity.
Since turnaround specialist Stephen Cooper came on board as chairman, the debt holders have agreed three times to hold off on receiving debt payments, with the most recent extension going to March 31. MGM’s facing repayment of its $250 million revolving credit line in early April and a $1 billion payment on its $3.7 billion debt in July 2011.

. Like BB said, the second half of CR was excellent and didn't include many stunts. I still prefer CR to QoS.

Here is a comment from a CBN member, who seems to work in the industry and those guys over there trust him with insider knowledge - so maybe..

One actress that is being rumoured today for the BOND 23 gig is Kelly Reilly who has allegedly in a shortlist of two actresses. The other - though I cannot wholly verify this right now - is Clémence Poésy.

Reuters reporting that Lionsgate and Len Blavatnik's Access Industries, have made bids for MGM and that Time Warner is still considering a bid at this late date. Bids are still being accepted today. More information when we get it. The Liosgate bid is especially interesting, considering how Carl Icahn tried to put shackles on the mini-studio's acquisition aggression.
