Broadway discussion turned into "Bye,Bye ASR"

Thurs, October 1 - Getting my feet wet in the city - I will be watching Hamlet with Cicero at 7:00 p.m. , meeting up with whoever is also arriving, if possible while the night is still young.
Fri, October 2 - the evening is free....not sure about the day yet....Cicero and Cyanaurora and I (as well as anyone else perhaps) have yet to figure that out.
Sat, October 3 - have a date with a few ladies at the Schoenfeld Theatre,
then afterwards....goodness only knows - obviously a little chaos and definitely a little hen party.
Sun, October 4 - the last chance to do our thing in the big apple before heading home.
Oh - and sometime along the way, try to manage to eat some great food, have a few laughs and get some sleep.....lord help us all.

I like stage-dooring. I think it's fun, and autographs and photos gives you a nice way to remember the event beyond memories of the show. I'm not a "Oooh, sign this, so I can sell it on Ebay" type person. I keep a scrapbook/box of all my Playbills and photos. That being said, I don't think I've ever had a worse stage door experience than at "A Steady Rain". Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig were delightful. The crowd? Not so much. Pushing and shoving and being stepped on. Every time the door opened you got shoved around. The one cop that was there wasn't enough. I left. No signature is worth getting beat up for. If you want to stage door for this, bring some padding and a bat.
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

But then, when I was in London at the premier - it was like 6 hours of being squeezed from all sides like crazy while waiting - so this probably isn´t so bad after all - and shorterCicero wrote:OMG, that doesn't sound nice

But NOBODY (aside from the hundreds of yelling fans) is there to go with me on the 1st.Cyanaurora wrote:Me too and I have VERY sharp elbows and I am not afraid to use them.Sophie wrote: I won't need padding, I'm a little overweight so I've got all the padding I need...

oh... I can't be there for lunch at Les Halles, I'll be visiting the Statue of Liberty+ Elllis Island +Greenwich Village+ walking on the boardwalk under the Brooklyn Bridge ( if I have time to do all this on Friday)
Still OK for meeting up at 5-5:30pm
AND I'm gonna see the evening show on the 3rd, not the matinee...
