Swedish interview with David Fincher

Millennium film will " capture Sweden "

Director David Fincher wants his version of Stieg Larsson's books to catch Sweden .

I hope I can find an atmosphere reminiscent of " Chinatown " .

David Fincher is a superstar in Hollywood . He has previously made such as " Seven " and " Fight Club " , and may currently very positive reviews for his film "The social network " , the story of the young men who started up .

It is to talk about the film - which goes up in Sweden on 22 October - as he hits a few journalists .

No remake

But since he is currently also engaged in directing the first American film by Stieg Larsson " Millennium " trilogy , he also speaks about it - but says a bit ironic :

I 've just started with it . I have not had time to figure out some cliché answers yet to use when I asked about it .

Videotaping has already started , but first this week is production in high gear with filming on the streets around Stockholm .

David Fincher says that it is definitely not about a remake of the Swedish film .

There is absolutely no reason to do such . Steve Zaillian has written the new screenplay , and he has been based on the book and made their own version . Sure, there are scenes that will resemble them in the Swedish film , but it is the book that we are filming .

He talks a lot about " Swedish Noir " , and says that his movie also atmospherically will differ from the Swedish .

It was very effectively done in an American way . I 'm looking to try to catch Sweden . I hope I can find an atmosphere reminiscent of " Chinatown " .

Roman Polanski directed the noir classic from 1974 with Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway in the lead roles .

When the TT spectra ask when shooting starts for real, and when Daniel Craig coming into play in the role of Mikael Blomkvist , Fincher just smiles and does not respond.

We'll see . If the first is not good , it's no use to do more .

However , he with a few new names added to the actress list where we have been told Craig , Rooney Mara , Stellan Skarsgård , Robin Wright and Christopher Plummer .

Lets see . Joely Richardson is with . And Steven Berkoff . And David Dencik .

Brad Pitt filmed a movie in the SF Bay Area this summer. He stayed at the Claremont Hotel during that time. They also have a high-security section. I know someone from Milan who has stayed there in a luxury 2-bedroom suite, semi-annually for the past 20 years, with each visit being a month (her mother is my next-door neighbor). Naturally, the entire hotel staff knows her personally. Her 'man to die for' is Brad Pitt (?!), and it happened that she was staying at the hotel when he was. I thought she was going to have a heart attack. Even she never got a chance to see him except once for a quick moment as he got out of a car and was whisked off by security. She was clued in by the staff there that the floor he was on has extreme high-secuirty, and it was his alone (Angie did visit with the kids. Papz took pics of her shopping in the area with a couple of the kids). The floor can't be accessed without a hotel security escort. The hotel installed a second security door in front of their previously installed security door just for BP. Room service is delivered to the security staff assigned to guard the entrance to the first door. They pass it to the second level of security. BP came and went via a private elevator. He was never seen in the hotel, and he was never papz'd.

It seems Daniel is now afforded this level of security.

I think, its during filming, that he gets and wants security and tries to avoid a public hazzle much more then in his private life. Even though not papped in recent weeks, we know, he is not flying with private planes, he takes care of his luggage himself etc..so he is out and about without a security blanket, but not so while filming. Guess the attention level is so much higher, that he rather not puts himself out there alone. But I doubt, he will be as invisible as in New Mexico.

yeahhhh, a "sign of life" of Daniel! WOW, he looks fantastic.
Uhhhh, should I rent myself a suite in that hotel? Or ask, if there are jobs vacant? Or do I have to hide in a wastebasket...and waiting ?

Maybe Mrs. B. can get a job on the private section, she has security clearance.

He has a nice tan from NMexico and SoCal. I wonder if they will 'whiten him up' to his normal skin color? They can't afford to have it fade naturally and it might mess with the sequencing of filming.
