Bestsellers

Dear Customer
Due to the excitement and interest around the movie release of Stieg Larsson's "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" directed by David Fincher (The Social Network) there has been a huge resurgence in the Millennium Trilogy thrillers sending them rocketing up the list again. Don't miss the action and intrigue of the original stories.

I think, it will be worth making a "How many times have you seen it" thread, once all are done with it.

The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

I liked the way she summed up the characters, especially Bjurman. Thats how I saw him too.
Bjurman, the guardian who beats and rapes Salander (in the scene I dreaded watching), seems mild-mannered and harmless in some contexts and sadistic in others, like many real-life villains. He viciously assaults Salander, but does so with an entitled nonchalance, and afterwards acts gentle, almost apologetic. This is the reality of abusers: They are pathetic, vacillating between violence and tenderness in an ugly cycle that can confound and entrap their victims.

Problem is, that damn list is so long, it would be a shame really to not be on it. But lets stay positive. I want a nod for him - its overdue...

Daniel Craig had to get in bed with Rooney Mara ''pretty much straight away'' after they met on the set of 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo'. The actress admitted things moved fast on the set of the film, and she found herself practicing sex scenes with her co-star during their first meeting. She said: ''I met him for the first time at a screen test. We had to get into bed together pretty much straight away.'' Rooney plays the gothic styled computer genius Lisbeth Salander in the film, and while she her look is striking in the film, she believes it is more about context than her dyed hair and piercings. She added to OK! magazine: ''I think the character, in her setting in Stockholm, is quite shocking because it's quite reserved there. If you put the character in New York's East Village, people wouldn't really look twice at her. ''It definitely changed people's reactions toward me - they didn't pay as much attention to me and maybe their expectations were lowered, but there wasn't that big of a reaction.''

I bought 'Is Your Love Strong Enough' by How to Destroy Angels from iTunes to remind me of the film and the rather poignant ending. I've seen the film three times now and on my last viewing I looked out for all the things mentioned on this forum that I had missed before.
