Saturn Awards

"Skyfall" bags seven nods in total. The twenty-third James Bond movie is set to compete in the Best Action/Adventure Film category alongside "The Bourne Legacy", "The Dark Knight Rises", "Django Unchained", "Les Miserables" and "Taken 2". Its lead actor Daniel Craig is up for Best Actor award, while his co-star Javier Bardem is one of the strongest contenders in Best Supporting Actor category.

:( The winners will be revealed sometime in June. The exact date and location for the awards ceremony will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

Peter Travers from Rolling Stone makes his expert predictions for which Oscar nominees should – and will – in each of the 24 Academy Awards categories.

For Cinematography he thinks Skyfall (Deakins) should win but Life of Pi might end up winning.

Can I say I love his predictions for the acting category? .... Fingers crossed that it will be so (for lead / support acting).

Agreed, Shirley Bassey was great, and she got a standing ovation! BUT, a lame tribute, IMO. I think Barbara and Michael should have gotten an award or something. And no Bonds present made it weak. I didn't see PI, so I can't comment on whom I think should have won. So far for me....major snoozefest. McFarland terrible. If Adele were not to appear, I'd go do something else.

Disappointed at salute to Bond ...couldn't they at least get some of the Bond girls? Maybe Sean couldn't come but I think the otherg uys might have . I would have liked the Bond girl with a Bond . It was nice to see Shirley Bassey sing though ... never seen her sing it before .

Loving the LeMis singing ensemble. Best part so far. Pure talent, and lots of it.

Skyfall won for Sound Editing! :D
