Thank you, girl, that is good news. :)

 Wow, I checked out her myspace site that was advertised in the article, and you're right, she does sound Shirley Bassey-ish! I can totally imagine her doing the title song now. I still think the Bond girl thing is just a rumour though, perhaps loosely based on that MI6 article posted above.

yes that is what i thought when i found it.

one of those very stretched articles. you know like, "sources say..."

when they say sources, they could be talking about the bum who lives 'round the corner...anybody ya know?!

Amy Winehouse is very hip and popular in the UK at the moment and she would fit in well with the new trendier Bond!! She does have a knock out and very original voice.

I like her voice and can see her doing a theme tune. There was a rumour The Killers had been asked but I think that would be too similar to Chris Cornell type of music.

In terms of my earlier comments I think she has done as much to set herself up in the press and give herself an image. Its an image I personally don't like, but each to their own.

Daniel on the otherhand had no real image in the press so they've had to make one up for him, some good, some not so good.

That Mi6 article is probably more true than the others, even though we don't even know if that's true.

She does have a geat jazz voice that could be good for the new rugged Bond style, but I still think she's a little chavvy or common to be part of a Bond film? I mean, she gets drunk and high all the time!

P.S. I am not trying to sound like an amysnotbondgirl website, just voicing my opinion...

Whatever.

What will be will be.

Hope the next movie is good.

Exactly. I don't really have much of an opinion as long as the movie is as good as Casino Royale.

It would be nice to know the main characters though. We could start guessing plots..

Good to see Daniel.

I prefer not to guess the plot unless it's Harry Potter, I guess plots for HP books all day long, but for this movie, I'm trying to wait and see. It will be good just to see Daniel on screen.

True. I didn't guess the last film and when I saw it at the cinema it was mindblowing.

This thread is an interesting read! And a lot of the comments about Amy not looking like a Bond girl are scarily sounding like the comments made about Daniel not so long ago...and we know how much truth there is in the bad press Daniel's had.
Amy is feisty and, erm, likes to talk too much maybe...especially after a drink, but she's talented and professional when it matters.
I think she'd do a crackin' job of the theme tune :D
Oh- and having tattoos doesn't make you a bad girl, or scummy etc. Even DC loving, respectable, married, church going mums of 2 have tatts- 2 to be precise

This thread was pretty much the meanest thing on the whole site. I'm done with speculation though. I just hope the movie is good and be done. Whoever they pick to be a bond girl, that's who they pick. Whoever sings the song, that's who sings it. If I don't want to see it, I won't. End game.

I did reread this whole thread, and i still maintain it's the meanest. We're all usually really nice here, so it shocked me at first, but--this is the internet.

For what it's worth its a great place to be mean.

I'm hoping Bond 22 rocks our socks.

Found this on contact music:

"Can you imagine me in Bond with (Daniel) Craig? There's no way I'd want to be good like a Bond babe, I'd have to be bad." British soul singer AMY WINEHOUSE admits she'd much rather play a bad girl in any upcoming 007 films.

Thats the end of that then lol.

Debunking

There was more debunking than that, but I don't remember which scene. I think that she still maybe be singing the theme song, at least I hope so. No one's debunked that yet right? I never knew so many people disliked Amy Winehouse, but I should've guessed as much.

Maybe Paris Hilton will be the bond girl instead. Once she finishes her 45 days...that would steam people up wouldn't it?
