I've always thought that the single best way to make a lasting relationship work is to have one with your best pal :-) Hubby and I were pals for ages before we were ever anything else, and he's still my best pal :-)

That's sweet, rubyslippers. My husband and I were pals too before we got married. We'll be going on 9 years this August. Congrats on the 23 years. That is awesome!
