Aw, that just kills me everytime.
I remember when I first saw it in the cinema last Christmas (feels like ages ago now!), but I was aiming to get popcorn into my mouth and I just let it all slide right down my top...

I was so gobsmacked just looking at that scene

That one of my favourite scenes, but it isn't the finger sucking thing that gets me.

No, it is the part when he sat down beside Vepser and she is grabbing his upper arm. The way he is offering her his arm to lean against, that's what my legs turn to jelly.

There is just something so sexy about a man that undoes his tie
my legs go all wobbly. Maybe its the surrender look on Daniels face as he is taking his tie off......big big sigh.........wish positive thinking...law of attraction.........sigh sigh

What really gets me is that surrender look. So much was expressed in that one look.....

My favourite part is the entire scene but specifically.....
THE FACT THAT.....

- the music is not overpowering and very subtle.

- his voice is barely audible....is if we are listening in on their very private moment.

- he chooses to sit down with her in the shower without a second thought fully clothed, the water revealing his lean, mean muscles underneath.

- he doesn't give a shit that he's getting progressively soaked and undoes his tie to become more comfortable.

- she looks so small and frail beside him.

- he asks if she's cold and as he turns off the water, his arm raises up and she falls perfectly into the crux of his chest....and his hand is perfectly placed cradling her head like a child, so tender.

- he sucks her fingers to comfort her but also to ends up seducing us.

- he is so controlled and utterly believable and bloody f**king gorgeous when he does all of this.

Sharmaine: it´s an extraordinary description of the scene.

I would add something: when the shirt is started wetting and they begin to notice his muscles, I understood that it was not necessary to undress him to untie the lust of the one who was looking at it.

It´s extraordinary to see Bond also exhausted and injured, the hands with scars, the terribly exhausted eyes, the way in which he closes them towards the end of the scene and sighs. I have the sensation that he protects her and simultaneously she supports him

Yes, yes, I do agree with Faustine, your review of the scene is so nice and detailed, just perfect !

Excellent analysis, Faustine-it's really all the elements that combine to make that scene work so well. Wonder how many takes they had to shoot ?(not that Eva minded in the least, I'm sure!)
