Before and After
So I was recently skimming through alot of the picture threads and noticed something. I'm sorry if this is going to come off as either arrogant or rude but does anyone else notice he looked considerably different (looks wise) before he did Casino Royale? These pic's really caught my attention:
Now obviously the first pic is not his most flattering of poses and it looks like he was preparing for his role in The Mother, but am I the only one who sees this? Or am I too sleepy and shouldn't have started this thread?

That 's one of the things about him that makes him so ...hmmm different and in my book so unique.
He does look different in alomst any movie he has made.
My friend watched Some Voices with me and at first she couldn't believe that it was James Bond who plays Ray
And it wasn't his shape or his hairdo alone, the whole physiognomy seems to belong to a different person. It's marvellous.

Oh my god! I didn't know it was Daniel Craig as I watched Some Voices few years ago, and was totally shocked it was Ray who become James Bond! I did hear about Some Voices in 2000 and it did affect me as well.
I like that... James Bond plays Ray... good line Dunda!

Daniel was not exactly a child when he started acting and when he attained some notoriety, he was in his mid to late 20's but it seems like we (forum members exclusively) have collectively seen him "grow up" into this fully fleshed out (pun intended) audacious male persona, almost as if we had actually followed his career as closely as the relentless Hollywood tabloids of a new fresh screen face.
This forum has done that because we (you) are all so forensically precise (pun intended). No other media could give such an indepth study of a man, apart from his own autobiography (and even then - Daniel would hide something from us - on purpose)
He has aged from this cheeky-faced blond, blue-eyed young man to one damn fine stare-you-down-until-you-crumble hottie tottie movie star.....and he's laughing all the way to the bank. Now with this "sex symbol" status, he can play a street bum, and we'd still watch him.
Thank goodness for age and time and ultimately great talent!

Re: Before and After
I definitely like the last one the best. He's getting hotter and hotter for every year that goes by.

What a great post, Sharmaine! Deserves to be printed again. I loved your description sentence "... one damn fine stare-you-down ..."sharmaine wrote:Daniel was not exactly a child when he started acting and when he attained some notoriety, he was in his mid to late 20's but it seems like we (forum members exclusively) have collectively seen him "grow up" into this fully fleshed out (pun intended) audacious male persona, almost as if we had actually followed his career as closely as the relentless Hollywood tabloids of a new fresh screen face.
