I know! That was the perfect look for me! DC as Blomkvist makes metbossmc2000 wrote:he looked so good then, he looks good all the timeGermangirl wrote:Yes, we had it. Tattoo time..
The hair, stubble (including the gray bits), more meat on his bones ( including that bit of belly - if it can even be called that! ) the whole thing .... perfect!
I loved him during that time. Also he was hot and heavy with Rachel.
Yup.....what Daniel does not do is almost as (and sometime more) important than what he does do.Dunda wrote: this scene is so powerful, watching the emotions changing in his eyes, very, very subtle and you really have to LOOK at him to get this.
That's was makes his acting so good, working with the fine nuances instead of overacting.
It takes a great actor to be confident enough to underact, especially where others would overact.

I have tremendous respect for Fincher, but there's just something about knowing that other directors don't require up to a hundred takes to film a scene. As said before, I think even I could act great 1/100th of the time and I am NO actor. Too, I know it's more than just the actors repeating themselves over and over - he likes to try different things during all those takes, but still, I somehow feel like I've watched a magician do his work and don't know HOW I've been tricked but I still feel tricked. Watching this, I get the impression that Mendes is more direct.
Footnote: Still, Tattoo was awesome, and it's the finished product that counts.
