Better than the statue of David. Not only is his body perfect, but the photo oozes masculinity. One of the best photos of a man EVER.

Absolutely. Thanks for repeating.
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

This photo taken by Simon Annand has been posted before but it's worth another look. Daniel is shown in this clip at around the 25 sec mark.

I was never sure of the circumstances of this pic, so thanks again.

I have just visited the library and borrowed Simon Annand's book 'The Half: Photographs of Actors Preparing for the Stage', published in 2008.

I am a bit puzzled by the caption for the photo of a shirtless Daniel rolling a cigarette (posted earlier). It reads: "Daniel Craig. A Number by Caryl Churchill Royal Court Theatre, 1999. During the day he was playing the poet Ted Hughes in the film 'Sylvia ', with Gwyneth Paltrow. "

Surely this date is incorrect. Daniel appeared with Michael Gambon in 'A Number' in 2002 and 'Sylvia' was released in 2003 (Michael Gambon also appears in this film). Anyway it explains why Daniel has dark hair in the Annand photo. At the time, it must have been very demanding playing such different roles. Yet another example of what an accomplished and versatile actor he is.

I've always puzzled over that as well. I think is was probably 2002.

I found these pictures of a blond Daniel in 'A Number':

In an interview for 'The Mother' (2003) Daniel has dark hair.

Maybe it was taken from Hurley Burley in 1997.
I don't ever recall seeing any pics from that production. Was he on stage between Hurley Burley and A Number?

This is Sylvia hair  , so I assume this interview was recorded during the filming of Sylvia which took place around October/November 2002 until January 2003.

He was at the premiere of Anatomy 2 with Heike in on 27th January 2003 and looked like this, so I guess he just cut off the dyed hair.

But where the hell does this stage picture fit in? He had similar hair in Love Is The Devil but that shooting took place in May/June 1997

Hurley Burley was 1997, maybe he has dark hair for that.
