What the hell does the writer mean by scribbling that first clause of this article about Daniels arrival in Cannes?

DC looks fine whatever he's wearing.

He does look different with a beard though, don't you think?

Also it just shows you that he's grounded - he's using the same plane carry bag as he has in other older pics of him at the airport. He hasn't gone all flash with his new-found fame and bought LV trunks!!
