it's always nice to see that his taste in music is similar to mine (I read that people who have a similar taste in music usually have much more in common than people who have a similar taste in literature, films etc^^)
There was also one on June 30.
sorry, my mistake...so we'll never know unless someone meets him and asks him (or are there other, more important things you'd ask? )

I love that he is similar to me, too :D. If I'm right the band was Kings of Leon and I really love them. I also love Rock as whole, so I'm really happy he also does :D.

Great vid, Thelma! Good find indeed! Dang, there were three gigs (June 15, 16 and 30). He apparently also saw them in December in London - a real fan :D

If we actually look at the history of this project, we had the bigots, PC brigade and execs butting in and interfering with the production of this film and what we ended up with was a film that was butchered by bean counters and the final insult was New Line jumping the gun and selling off distribution rights.

I think Chris got shafted when the rug got pulled from under him as he was probably led as with others Pullman included to believe that the trilogy would be made.
Exactly. He explained why he made that choice on the HDM forum, and he actually had pretty good arguments (and Pullman's blessing as well if I remember correctly), but obviously he had no doubt about the sequels getting made. That's the only reason why it turned out to be a bad choice in the end.

That video of Dan at the KOL concert is great, so nice to see that he and Sats are having fun together! And wow, looks like he shaved for once! Very Bond-ish in fact...

I found this on wikipedia yes?
"He is a massive supporter of Welsh Soccer team Wrexham FC and has been since childhood. He often puts off filming if Wrexham are playing and he has stated that Dean Saunders, Mickey Thomas, Gary Bennett and Joey Jones are amongst his heroes. In March 2009 Sky Sports filmed Craig attending a Wrexham V Chester derby match in Chester, where Wrexham won 2-0. He is also an ardent fan of Rugby Union."

anyone seen video?

There's some discussion on it at some football forums on the net and it seems to be just a spoof... I've never heard of him being interested in any other team than Liverpool!

Its a funny read...

Why Ugly Men Come Out on Top

Forget all those rom-coms flogging the likes of Mr Big, or the impossibly up-himself Matthew McConaughey, not to mention the Dolce & Gabbana models bulging out of their boxers. Smart girls know that if you want solid gold, you need a man who’s less than perfect. And there is nothing that holds quite as much promise as an ugly man.
I’m thinking along the lines of Rhys Ifans over Brad Pitt (minus those horrid Y-fronts he wore in Notting Hill, of course). Or Daniel Craig over Pierce Brosnan. Someone a little rough around the edges, a little lopsided - none of that cartoonishly-perfect bone structure.

The fact is life is easy for the beautiful ones, and a lot harder for those who fell out of the ugly tree and hit a few branches on the way down. From nursery to boardroom, the Uglies have to fight harder. They haven’t glided along a carpet of admiration provided by fawning teachers, adoring parents, and salivating secretaries. They have had to develop charm, wit, drive, and manners to open every door.

As a consequence, when you date a man who’s not an oil painting, he puts in the effort. He knows how much harder he has to work to woo you. Doubtless he’ll have clawed his way up the career ladder, because without wallet power he’ll always be losing out to the moody French artist with lacerating cheekbones scraping a living in an attic somewhere. Mr Ugly never stops trying - from boardroom to bedroom - and you’ve got to love him for it.

If his imperfections really bother you, then take heart. There’s a whole arsenal at your disposal if you want to turn him into Brad Pitt or David Beckham (although God knows why you would). This is known as The Project, and starts with a decent haircut and a few hours with a personal shopper. You can take it to the next level with a personal trainer, some good dental work, and even a few strategic cosmetic re-touches. And there you have it - a hottie on the outside, but the same down to earth guy on the inside. When you show him off (and it’ll be hard not to), your friends will wish they’d had your foresight and patience.

A note of caution though, because The Project is not without risks. One friend embarked on an epic improvement schedule after nabbing a wonderful Mr Ugly who’d been lurking around the fringes of the trading floor. The results were spectacular. But as her svelte, immaculately groomed, cashmere-clad boy delighted in his newfound magnetism, he attracted a small army of admirers. Dizzy with the possibilities at his fingertips for the first time in his life, he took flight, and the fruits of my friend’s efforts landed in the undeserving hands of someone else. In short, he’d turned into Mr Beautiful - cocky, complacent, and susceptible to being pounced on by a rival strumpet.

So be warned, keep your Ugly a little a rough around the edges, and the gem will remain yours to treasure.
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

The Moment I Fell For... Daniel Craig
.
I kinda wish I could say with all honesty that it was the moment when he popped out of the water in the trailer for Casino Royale just so I could post that picture for the five-thousandth time (it really will never ever grow old), but I was really a big fan of Craig's before he became Bond, and it was this terrifically underrated movie that sealed the deal. It might not have been this moment in particular that did it, maybe it was something in his sweet, slowly unraveling relationship with Samantha Morton's character that was it, but it was this movie where I knew I'd follow the dude forever so I figured I'd have to pick something from it so why not post the gay bit. I love the fact that he's continually played gay (or gay-kiss-inclined, as it were) but I do wish he'd pick a partner hotter than Toby Jones or Rhys Ifans or Derek Jacobi... maybe when he's on-stage with Hugh Jackman...? I dare to dream too big, I do. Anyway, it was just an (super crazy big) added bonus that Danny looked so good in a square-cut swimsuit; he's an enormously talented actor outside of that goodness. (Good girl )

17 Actors most Overdue for a Nomination

Earlier, I did a list of top 25 actresses of the decade. A list of the top actors of the decade is considerably more difficult to pull off because while actresses generally compete for the same parts, there are so many more roles to go around for men. Someone could make their living as an action star (think Vin Deisel or Tom Cruise), a comic star (think Ben Stiller or Will Ferrell), a character actor (think John C Reilley, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and Joaquin Pheonix) or a star (think Matt Damon or George Clooney). Comparing people from these archetypes is like comparing apples and oranges.

A comparable list, I was thinking, was actors overdue for an Oscar nomination. So here is my list:

Lead Actor:
1. Matt Damon-Snubbed for Talented Mr. Ripley, Good German, Syrianna. Only one nomination 12 years ago despite being one of the most bankable actors today with one of the most creative tastes in projects he choses
2. Ralph Feinnes-Only two noms, snubbed for Constant Gardener and vote splitting cost him a nom for one of three fine performances this past year
3. Russell Crowe-No nominations since 2001. Nominated 3 times and deserved to win 2 of them. Despite being one of the two or three most brilliant actors in their prime today. Snubbed for Master and Commander, Cinderella Man, and American Gangster.
4. Jim Carrey-Snubs have dated back to 1998 with Truman Show, 1999 with Man on the Moon and 2004 with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Has wisely stayed out of sequels like Dumb and Dumber 2 and Evan Almighty, so he's not as commercialized as people give him credit for.
5. Liam Niesson-Snubbed for Kinsey and has only one nomination with

Either one:
1. Albert Finney-Being nominated for Erin Brockovitch was a good consolation for one of the best British imports of his generation to go empty-handed at the Oscars
2. Tom Hanks-Been 9 years since last nomination. Terrific in supporting roles like Catch Me If You Can or lead roles such as Ladykillers or Terminal
3. Daniel Craig-Clearly a better actor than the James Bond moniker allows him to be and he was snubbed for Munich and Infamous. I fear that in the mold of Sean Connery, the Academy will wait until he's done being Bond before the Academy gives him any consideration, because he's more an action star than a guy to be taken seriously.
4. Jude Law-Was in 6 movies alone in 2004. Highly prolific actor with only 2 noms to his name and 6 years since last nom. Still no win.
5. Ewan MaGregor-More than Obi-Wan Kenobi, he's a star in his own right and has been bankable and interesting to watch in everything he's been in.
6. Gabrael Garcia Bernal-If Benicio del Toro and Javier Bardem can get oscars, he should at least get a nomination. He hasn't exactly been snubbed but he has shined in Babel, Bad Education, Y tu Mama Tambien.
7. Michael Douglas-He's only had one nom in his whole career and has a lot more memorable roles in that and has been one of the premeiere actors of his time in the 80s. Traffic and Wonderboys showed he could still be a great actor

Supporting Actor:
1. Paul Bettany-A truly underrrated member of the class of hot British actors and he has made a lot out of his supporting roles in Master and Commander, Beautiful Mind, and Da Vinci Code
2. Alec Baldwin-He's brilliant on 30 Rock and his career spanning from Beetlejuice to Glengarry Glenn Ross has produced way more than just one memorable role. Plus he's on TCM, so he should own bonus points with the older members of the Academy.
3. Lawrence Fishburne-Contemporaries such as Morgan Freeman and Samuel L Jackson have been nominated multiple times, why not him?
4. Kevin Spacey-Only 2 nominations but then again there are only 2 wins. With his schedule as theatrical manager of the Old Vic Theater in London, he's said that he wants to only do supporting but he killed in films
5. Greg Kinnear-Whether the lead in Little Miss Sunshine or Auto Focus or supporting, he's an excellent actor and just one nomination doesn't serve adequate credit to him

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher had a 'James Bond'-themed anniversary holiday.

The couple recently jetted off to the Ocean Club resort in Barbados - where scenes from 'Casino Royale', starring Daniel Craig as the British spy, were shot - to mark the sixth anniversary of their first date.

Demi, 46, and 31-year-old Ashton are big fans of the 007 movies and were keen to indulge their obsession with the spy franchise while on the Caribbean island.

A source said: "They wanted to live out a fantasy of being Mr. and Mrs. Bond and the Ocean Club was the natural choice as it's the venue where Daniel Craig won an Aston Martin in a game of poker in 'Casino Royale'.

"After arriving by private jet, Ashton requested to be collected from the airport in a silver Aston Martin car, which he and Demi then used to drive around the island."

Despite holidaying in a busy resort, Ashton and Demi were rarely seen by any of the other guests.

The source added to Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "They're obviously still besotted with each other. Whenever they weren't in the car, they were in their room and took at least half of their meals in their suite - as well as champagne on tap."
