'Film director Guy Ritchie has given the celebrity world an attack of the vapours by being photographed in a pair of old-fashioned, striped pyjamas.
As Guy Ritchie has demonstrated, pyjamas are perfect for the man who has risen but not yet dressed.
Madonna's ex-husband was snapped at the door of his London home, fairly late in the morning, as he bade goodbye to his chic girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley.'

(same London Mews home as used in opening credits of Layer Cake although front looks different but they used Guy's home)

I like Craig a lot more than Brosnan but I find it weird that he is hijacking a film made for Brosnan. Could you imagine Roger Moore in LTK or Timothy Dalton in Octopussy? I would be insulted if I were Brosnan.
I agree, but...

Licencing regulations means it has to be Craig. He is the current Bond, and that applies to all media. When they gave Bond Connery's likeness in FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE, I believe that was because there was techncially no Bond at the time and/or they got special permissions.
Not necessarely true, though...guessing game

I hate to say this but it´s more appealing to buy a Bond Game knowing Daniel is on board cause he already did such an impression on the caracter, like it or not, you just can´t go back and put Pierce on it, he´s old news (sorry)

i not into games so i scratch head thinking that daniel had to dub his voice onto game so he knew he was taking over Pierce's role yes?
i think Peirce of course knew this was going top happen and i hope no backlash on daniel for doing what his contract must state.
it business at end of day. not personal
look at this way, pierce would have to do same thing

Why Daniels are hearty but Colins aren't so chipper

By Colin Fernandez and Daniel Martin

If you know a man called Colin, it might just be worth checking he is in good health.

But any Daniels in your life, it seems, have nothing to worry about and can look forward to a long and happy existence.

Research has found that men named Colin are more likely to have high blood pressure, and a higher risk of heart attack, while Daniels have the lowest chance of suffering from the condition.

ImageImage

The survey, by Lloyds Pharmacy, also shows that women called Emily are likely to have a much healthier heart than those called Margaret.

Experts compared naming trends over the past 80 years with the rate of heart problems.

Their analysis found that some names linked to the working classes or particular parts of the country came off worse.

For example, Colin is a very popular name in Scotland where heart problems are more prevalent than anywhere else in the UK, while Daniel is seen as a middle-class name.

ImageImage

And those with 'older' names, such as Keith and Maureen, are more likely to have heart problems than younger individuals such as Chloes or Sophies. The survey found that men called Colin, Brian and Alan have a 47 per cent chance of having high blood pressure.

Those called Simon, Mark and Kevin have just a 16 per cent chance of raised blood pressure and cardiac problems.

And if your name is Daniel, Liam or Thomas then your chance of high blood pressure drops to 6 per cent.

Similarly, women called Linda, Margaret or Ann have a 50 per cent chance of suffering from the condition while those called Emily, Chloe or Sophie have a mere one per cent risk. For a Claire, Helen or Jane the risk of high blood pressure is 10 per cent. The pharmacy firm commissioned the study in an attempt to encourage men over 45 to have their blood tested.

Chris Frost, heart expert at Lloyds Pharmacy, said: 'Whether you're Tom, Dick or Harry it's a good idea to get your blood pressure checked and keep an eye on your risk factors.'

The analysis also found that Brians and Colins are five times more likely than Simons, Marks and Kevins to have diabetes and 20 times more likely to suffer a stroke.

In addition, the study showed that those named Brian and Ronald are 72 times more likely to suffer a stroke than Ethan, Joseph or Samuel.

Mr Frost said: 'It's a very crude measure of health and we're not suggesting that risk is limited to those with particular names. All adults should know what their blood pressure is, but the risk increases as we get older.'

One in three adults in the UK has high blood pressure, also known as hypertension.

Sometimes described as a silent killer, the condition does not usually have any signs or symptoms.

Around 125,000 adults each year in the UK have a heart attack or stroke in which blood pressure is a key factor.

Unfortunately its not the case. People are pretty unhappy with Daniel being in Goldeneye. Even all those, who like him better as JB, don´t want to see him in this particular game. That first game seems to be a classic and they consider it as Pierces film and game - and they are right IMO. Everybody was bashing Pierce after CR, but Goldeneye seems firmly attached to his name. NOT a good move - and not good for Daniels Bond or Daniel himself. Lets hope the game will be so good, that the flag silences - once more.

GoldenEye 007 gets Daniel Craig's approval

Bond franchise insider David G Wilson has told Official Nintendo Magazine how Daniel Craig's involvement has affected the remake of GoldenEye 007.

In an exclusive interview that will appear in the new issue of Official Nintendo Magazine (on sale tomorrow!), Wilson told ONM that Craig himself was instrumental in the direction of the Wii-exclusive shooter. Wilson says the actor knows his Bond games inside out, and wouldn't stand for any "rubbish".

"When we first pitched the game to him, he was really excited about it," said the Vice President of Global Business Strategy, Bond Marketing Inc. "He thought the original game was great. Daniel plays a lot of games and he has a lot to say about them. He gives us a lot of good criticism. We'll show him what the plan is and he'll suggest changes and get very hands-on."

Wilson, who has worked on Bond films such as GoldenEye and Casino Royale, says Craig was very mindful of the original game's impact, and was keen to add his input. "He makes a lot of comments about what we should and shouldn't do with this game. He plays all the Bond games so he doesn't want them to be rubbish. He's a real taskmaster!"

Craig's influence doesn't end there. His rough and ready interpretation of 007 has had an impact on the dynamics of GoldenEye, too.

"What I like about the Daniel Craig Bond is that he is very physical," continued Wilson. "That means that we're dealing with a lot more hand-to-hand combat and non-lethal takedowns. You walk into a situation as Bond and you can either shoot things or deal with them in a much more intelligent, skillful way."

You can read more from David G Wilson in the new issue of Official Nintendo Magazine. Our GoldenEye 007 exclusive also features an interview with Eurocom's Studio Development Manager Tom Coupe, plus our first impressions on the game and exclusive screenshots. You can buy the mag here!

This at least confirms, that they still are very much willing to keep him in the role.
Lets hope also. that the outrage of the "fans" will quiet down, once they see, the game is good. The first reviews are promising.

Hm - not sure what to make of it.

Here we have J. Depp - tatoo pre production (rumored)
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000136/

Here we have Daniel - without (rumored)
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0185819/
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2012) (pre-production) .... Mikael Blomkvist

Here we have the Tatoo imbd - NO (rumored) behind HIS name
Johnny Depp ... (rumored)

George Clooney ... (rumored)

Viggo Mortensen ... Mikael Blomkvist (rumored)

Carey Mulligan ... Lisbeth Salander (rumored)

Daniel Craig ... Mikael Blomkvist

Still, not sure, IF he got the part, why do they still keep the other names?

Anyway - ImbD is not reliable, but still good to read. :D

This week's cover: The secrets of 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo'
by EW staff
Categories: Movies
During the summer of 2008, movie producer Scott Rudin was hanging out at his house in the Hamptons with his partner, who had recently picked up a Swedish crime novel. “I knew nothing about it,” says Rudin, whose long list of credits includes No Country for Old Men and The Hours. “I said, ‘Do you want to get lunch?’ He said, ‘Yes…in a week. Don’t talk to me. Don’t bother me. I’m reading!’”

The book, it turned out, was Stieg Larsson’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Soon, Rudin himself was hooked on the novel and its two sequels, a condition he shares with millions of obsessed Americans. “I read it, and I read the second and a while later the third,” he says. “I absolutely loved them. They’re just fantastic stories. I spent about a year and a half trying to get the rights.”

Now Rudin and director David Fincher (Fight Club, Zodiac) are in preproduction on the first of three major films for Sony Pictures, which means one of the biggest literary phenomenons in recent history is only going to get bigger. Dragon Tattoo and its sequels, The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest (collectively known as the Millennium Trilogy), have sold 40 million copies worldwide. More than 7.2 million copies are in print in the U.S. alone, and the books have spent a combined 10 weeks atop New York Times best-seller lists.

While Larsson’s survivors are wrapped up in an estate dispute, his fans are buzzing about a more pressing question: Who should play computer hacker Lisbeth Salander and the crusading investigative journalist Mikael Blomkvist in the Fincher movies? “I think it’s hugely important that these parts be immaculately cast,” says Rudin. “Because to me, yeah, the stories are great, the plots are fantastic, the twists and turns are completely delicious, but the relationship of the two characters is it. That’s what it’s about.”

There’s already tremendous speculation. Brad Pitt and Daniel Craig have been mentioned as candidates for Blomkvist, and actresses as diverse as Kristen Stewart, Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johansson, and Carey Mulligan are being talked about for Lisbeth. Rudin says casting should wrap in a month or two, but nothing has been decided yet. “I’m happy that people are speculating, but it’s all fantasy,” he insists. “I would be careful about believing what you’re reading. Let me remind you that Katharine Hepburn was at one point announced to be Scarlett O’Hara. [Laughs] That’s not to say that it won’t end up being one of them, but you can certainly say it isn’t any of them yet.”
For more about The Girl with the Dragoon Tattoo films and a possible fourth book, pick up the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, on stands 6/18.

Brand wants to play transvestite Bond villain.

Russell Brand has tipped himself for a part in a James Bond film as a cross-dresser.

The 35-year-old comic ruled himself out of ever playing Bond, revealing that he would instead suit a "psychophatic transvestite".

"No-one would ever believe it [if I was cast as Bond]. I've not got that energy," he told Metro. "I could be the villain. I could be a psychopathic transvestite but I wouldn't want to contribute to negative stereotypes against transvestites.

"So maybe a sympathic (sic) one - a decent human who is flawed but essentially just a great guy or guy in girl's gear with great taste in women's lingerie and frocks."

Brand's latest film Get Him To The Greek is out in UK cinemas on June 25.

Daniel: "Yeah, hi, can someone get down here and take this man to the Greek, you know the guy on the street corner who can make people 'disappear'? Cheers!"
