I was expecting worse actually. Some even had friendly words and didn't bitch, but I am sure, he knew, what he had coming with this, even more so in the midst of those Bond beard rumors...

But I have a feeling, he cares even less these days, he is sorta flying around in some orbit, where only few people have access.

I was happy to note, that he did get very little backlash from the Bond boards...they are ready to accept the beard - for a bit..

I wonder too if the pace of the last months isn't contributing a little to the red rims and etc. it has to be grueling IMO. And bond even a thinking man's bond can sap those resources. V a c a t I o n. maybe? K

Nice pics of some where warm wet and requiring the wearing of few clothes would be nice. Tide us over the winter months ahead k

Poor Dan. Of course he smiles....

Daniel Craig Reveals His Happy Face at 'Tintin' London Premiere

The usually stone-faced actor finally cracks a smile, an event which is rarer than a lunar eclipse.

Fash Track spotted the mysteriously elusive Daniel Craig smile at the Sunday (Oct. 23) London premiere of Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, an adaptation of Georges Remi's series of classic comic books. Granted there are no actual Craig teeth on view, but this is indubitably a smile that expresses the emotion of pleasure/happiness.

As Hollywood historians will attest, the Craig grin is something that occurs infrequently on red carpets. It's worse than a lunar eclipse because it's impossible to predict when it will happen and has never been glimpsed at any of the actor's James Bond premieres. But the lack of a smile could have something to do with the stoic spy character he plays and the fact that he's suffered multiple injuries on Bond sets.

STORY: Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson: The Titans Behind 'The Adventures of Tintin'

In 2008 he severed a finger and sustained a cut on his face after being accidentally kicked in the face by a Quantum of Solace costar in 2008. He has admitted, sounding somewhat mortified, to having been assigned a "good plastic surgeon" for the repairs.

Craig also had two teeth knocked out during the 2006 filming of Casino Royale. But the only injury reported during the filming of Tin Tin was by Jamie Bell who plays Tin Tin, the young reporter. He misaligned two vertebra and threw out a rib sliding on carpets in front of green screens.

TRAILER: 'The Adventues of Tintin': New Trailer Promises Indiana Jones-Style Action

Along with Craig's unusually pleased expression, the Cowboys and Aliens star also sported a frock coat, weathered jeans, a gray sweater vest and tie while he happily signed autographs for his adoring fans. What's not to smile about, right?

We just wonder if we'll spot a smile when he and Rooney Mara appear at The Girl with the Dragon tattoo premiere. Any bets?

i know sometimes he is so serious expressions, but give the man break, he aint a miserable beggar, the press i mean, (not u sylvia, thanks for the info our dtd roving reporter).
I dont think daniel is entirely comfortable with the red carpet, (what do i know, exactly). I think he is the type to think why do people idolise me i dont get it, i'm just an ordinary bloke. But he aint is he, he's sex on legs for gods sake. (to me)
Sometimes i think i wish he was more open, cause an open book he aint, i dont what he is thinking behind those georgous blue eyes. then the next minute i am thinking your doing it right daniel, dont let them in, the press i mean. I dont understand shyness with actors but obviously it is there, in lots of actors, they play a part when they aint playing it, being themselves they are shy. which seems daniel is fairly shy in that respect meeting people/fans he doesnt know. but then that makes me like him more. :D

Him too..

Nearly every pic I see of Daniel Craig he seems to say "don't F-ck with me". Strangely, it makes me like him more

For a man, who is - and not only HJ said it - one of the most funny people on earth, its strange to paint a picture of moody and dark for himself, but he did. I can't blame fans or other people, who see him like that and feel, this is his personality. We know, it is not - au contraire - but I feel, its really two people: the funny, relaxed guy among people, he feel comfy with and the stone faced man, for whom that might be some sort of protection in not opening up to a world, he has experienced, can not be trusted. Its like his armour is down with the press (even though they are TERRIBLY exaggerating here), while we can alwaysy see, that he is different with the fans - not a grinning idiot either, but friendly and abiding to their pleas, joking even and talkative, when there is time.

He doesn't suffer fouls easily and is not afraid to show them, when they are.

In a way - he would be more beloved, if he played it like HJ, BUT we can see daily, that even those, who play the game are getting their shit once the press sees a chance - so...

like what u wrote, yeah i think it too, like he puts a barrier up, but then it can he can bring it down if the need arises. I really do hope that he doesnt think that his fans are freaks, freaks too strong a word. not freaks, basically i just want to hopefully feel the love so speak. Not all people want him to fail, but wish him well in life. in all things.
I dont want him to be a hugh j. Just want him to know, u know people genuienly like u mate. Suppose it is very hard to know whether people really like u, I hope he loves his fans then sometimes i dont think he gives a sh#t, both i like, cause the public can be so fickle. I suppose i just want too know him more, something that will never happen.

Spielberg & Jackson up for Tintin 2

(UKPA) – 52 minutes ago
Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg have revealed plans are already under way for a Tintin sequel.

The filmmaking titans directed and produced The Adventures Of Tintin, which starred Jamie Bell, Daniel Craig and Andy Serkis, and when Peter was asked if he would start work on the sequel once he's done with The Hobbit, he told The Hollywood Reporter: "Yes."

Steven said the green light has yet to be given for the follow-up, but a script is already in the bag.

"[Sony and Paramount] were willing to do one movie with us and then give us the financial wherewithal to develop a script, do all the visual storyboards and get it really in launch position. So we can launch pretty quickly on a second movie. The script is already written," he explained.

Tentatively titled The Adventures Of Tintin: Prisoners Of The Sun, the second film has been penned by Anthony Horowitz and is based on both Prisoners Of The Sun and its predecessor The Seven Crystal Balls.

However, Steven remained coy about a possible third film, following reports that the Tintin series is rumoured to have been planned as a trilogy.

"We haven't talked about that," he said.

"But I had such a wonderful time working on this; it liberated me as a director because I was able to run around by myself. It was a big collaboration, but at the same time it was one of the most personal experiences I've had."
