Daniel and the Olympics
Too much has ben written by all sorts of papers to not be true. Think, it deserves its own thread.

The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

You hav good chances. There are good luck vibes in here. Sharmain from Vancouver won two tix to go to London for the ??? what was it? and then, Daniel was not there, because he was on set for Defiance. She was dvasted. Understandably so..but still - what a win..bubita wrote:Ho boy! now I´m starting to get nervious about it.
I answered a quiz by cel phone where you can win two tickets to travel to london plus U$1.000 to spend there, so wish me luck
All fingers and toes crossed.

I have read both versions. So - not sure still, how its gonna end up..I hope, he jumps live - that would be ultra cool and I have o doubt, he can do that safely.

I asked someone in the RAF who jumps about Helicopter parachuting and he said
"Jumping from a heli is very common. A girl died doing when I did my last jump. She opened the chute too early & the downdraft blew her chute in. So yes I guess it'd be too dangerous for DC. Might land in one like you say."
So I hope DC doesnt, i think he may just escort the queen out of the heli.

Dunno, its a very tricky question. I would like him to be the Olympic opening hero though. He has done so many stunts, that were more difficult. I fully trust, he can do it. It would twin jump with him. Seriously. He has the nerves and the strength and whatever it take, to do it. But I see, where you come from and that his safety comes first.cheryl1700 wrote:I asked someone in the RAF who jumps about Helicopter parachuting and he said

I hope he does not jump live. It doesn't matter how much skill he has and how much he practices the jump, we all know he is a good athlete and would practice, practice, practice. BUT, they don't have control over the weather and lots of other conditions. It could be very windy, there could be mechanical or tons of other problems they can't control. He could be injured, or just embarrassed because of something going wrong that would not be his fault. It's highly risky if he does the jump live.Germangirl wrote:I have read both versions. You absolutely right and that will be the reason, they won't let him. But you know, he is a daredevil and loves to test his limits...so, who knows...tampa wrote:I hope he does not jump live. James Bond star Daniel Craig to open Olympics with a daredevil leap from a helicopter
Star will drop into the stadium on a rope ladder as a billion people watch worldwide
James Bond star Daniel Craig will open the Games ceremony in true 007 style... with a daredevil leap into the Olympic Stadium from a helicopter.
Three choppers will swoop down the Thames and under London Bridge before heading to the Olympic Park in East London.
To the strains of the James Bond theme, Craig will drop into the stadium on a rope ladder as a billion people watch on worldwide.
The nail-biting action will follow a short film by Trainspotting film-maker Danny Boyle, the artistic director of the July 27 opening ceremony.
In the movie, called The Arrival, Bond visits Buckingham Palace by Royal Appointment to be told his latest mission is to launch the Games
The Queen personally invited Craig, 44, to take part and is rumoured to make a cameo appearance.
Boyle was given unprecedented access to the Queen’s private rooms to make the film backin March. But the Palace has kept details under tight wraps.
A source said: “Daniel Craig is determined to open the ceremony with a bang and he and the BBC producers have pulled out all the stops.
“The world will be watching and they are happy to go to any length to make sure the stunts are as thrilling as possible.
“Not only are they giving us Bond, Britain’smost iconic character, but they’re giving ussuspense and drama with the helicopters and the Bond theme tune.
“It will be unmissable.”
