I think producers have the last say and he is geting paid a lot .He is getting more merchandising deals this time . I remember Pierce doing phone and car ads with his first ond . He was a known qauntity though . On the other hand Bourne and Cruise in MI don't have to do beefcake .

Yes, he did say that and I'm sure more than once.
IMHO - The problem he has is not with the nudity, but with the reception of it for CR. Way too much attention on the skin count instead of the acting for his liking.

I agree with you, Germangirl. He actually showed less skin in CR than his other movies but CR is a Bond movie and attracted so much attention to his appearance. If it's not for Bond, his nude picture in Love is Devil probably wouldn't be circulated on Internet as much now. I like what I read in this interview though - shower scene and a less bulked up body? Remind me of the shower scenes in Tomb Raider and Layer Cake. Pefect for me.

he has made past statements on being nude and not having a problem
his past works has had nude scene and full frontal scenes on a public street

he has made his bed and he has lay in it nude

IMHO - CR had just the right amount to tease us into submission. I prefer the big tease and not a gratuitous amount of skin. He looks fabulous with clothes on but then I'm a little biased in that department.

His acting speaks for itself, he goes out giving his all to the portrayal of the character. But as a man in this industry he's not oblivious to the fact that it brings in the audiences and the money.

I would think he will do it for himself first and everything else will fall into place as it should. He will end up with the best hand.

It sounds so reasonably what they have written all ... but lament to see him to turn in this.

I wait if there is some scene of shower to the Tomb Raider style be glad of not getting angry when they see him as a beautiful chunk of meat and little more.

I clarify: I am charmed with seeing Daniel with few clothes, but if everything centres on it, it´s difficult to see things much more important than his body.

The scenes in which Daniel has turned me mad of lust, curiously in almost none is undressed.
