I´ll watch Skyfall and see if I can find any proof of that.
Tough task ahead, I´ll be so miserable watching Skyfall once again

It does seem a little odd. Why would he wear gloves in that casino scene? Did he pull them out of his pocket between sharing martinis with Berenice? He may have been anticipating a threat, but really?

Here's Bond Connoisseur Phil Noble's take on it...

Sounds about right. It doesn't look as if his hands were CGI or anything in the Macau scene.

He planted a tender kiss on her forehead after she died in his arms at the end of Skyfall, but it has emerged that James Bond plotted the murder of M.

Daniel Craig, the most recent incarnation of 007, confesses to coming up with the idea of killing off the head of the British secret service, then played by Judi Dench, in a BBC2 programme to celebrate the 82-year-old actress’s long and distinguished career.

Craig, who took on the role of Bond in 2006, said the original casting of Dench as M in the 1995 film GoldenEye had been “inspired. It allowed a female voice, something that was probably needed in the Bond franchise. She came in and made it her own.â€￾
Yet when the 007 team was developing the 2012 blockbuster Skyfall, it was Craig who did for Bond’s boss. “I think I was the one who actually came up with the idea [of killing off M],â€￾ he says in All the World’s Her Stage, to be broadcast on December 30.

“You try to think of what is actually the best story,â€￾ he says. “It seemed to me and everybody in the room that [M’s death] was the biggest and most emotionally charged story we could tell.â€￾

Sam Mendes who directed Skyfall — in which M is fatally shot by Raoul Silva, one of her former agents — says: “We had to break the news to Judi. That wasn’t so easy.â€￾ At the time of the film’s release, Dench said that she cried when she learnt of M’s fate.

I will look forward to seeing that program... hopefully it will be on the 'Beeb' (BBC)? 8)

I don't think it was a bad decision to kill off Judi's M but I would have hoped for it to be a MUTUAL decision rather than one that was forced upon her... The thing is, the death of M story line could be referred to again in Spectre so it is a story that can resonate across more than one movie...

Thanks for posting SG. :)

Daniel is the highest üaid british actor according to <Forbes - as someone on MI6 claims without link though and i can't get into the side. But wasn't he already last year?
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

Is anyone interested in Sam Mendes' next film? It looks as though he has moved on from Thomas Newman and is working with Atticus Ross & Trent Reznor. They could have produced a very interesting score for a Bond film. Micheal Ward would also make a good 007.
