I have a question for any of those lucky enough to see this....
Is it fair to say that this is a very contemporary version of the play, keeping the text but up-dating this to a modern setting / plot? And I assume there are no costume changes... Daniel & David remain in these casual clothes for the duration of the play, yes? Looking at the photos, it seems a very 'stripped down' version of the play...
If the answers to my questions is yes, Othello may have gone way over my head had I been able to go. I remember trying to watch Ralph Fiennes version of 'Coriolanus' on dvd and I could only get through 20 minutes of the movie because I just couldn't grasp the text at all...
I am basically grasping at anything that could give me consolation that I am unable to attend. Daniel is a great actor first and foremost and I am pleased for him that he is receiving such rave reviews for it... because he is so good at what he does, I burn to see him act on stage even more. I hope this is a dream I can one day fulfill....

DITTO!!!!! Break a leg - Daniel and the whole cast (no pun intended.) But if everyone SHOCKED SHOCKED SHOCKED if the show doesn't get rave reviews. I'm interested in who gets tickets. The Betrayal opening was full of actors, friends, family, directors, socialites, and obviously reviewers. How does one narrow this group down to 200????bubita wrote:I´d like to thank you all for the info and pics from the play. So glad he´s doing well and hope he continues to do so and for tonight brake a leg Dan.
