Luca Guadagnino‘s “Queer” has been selected for New York Film Festival‘s spotlight gala and will make its U.S. premiere at Alice Tully Hall on Oct. 6.

What i find strange ist, that they dont have a Release Date yet, even though Its showing soon.
As for the Oscar - yeah, its about time 👍

I've read somewhere that there is no distributor for US yet. It is not a major studio production, mostly EU money. They need a week or two in US to be eligible for the Oscars. And it needs to be before end of the year, so this premiere at NYCFF in October for me is a sign that they distribute in November.tThese are just assumptions, no real clues...

Review embargo will be lifted at 12:45 pm EST today. Initial reception is described as "surreal" and "ambitious,"

That doesnt Sound too good to me . Ambitious Always ist the Word that comes before a BUT.
But I suppose IT wasnt meant to be a everybodies darling film

So, for me the fact that Rachel is there on the carpet speaks volumes for the movie. And really think and hope this time he gets all that he deserves for everything his done as an artist. We see.
