Washington (ANI): While he's popular as the fittest James Bond, Daniel Craig will be seen rather out of shape in the final scene of the new 007 movie Quantum Of Solace. The actor is fed up of being labelled as the most "physical" super spy till date and is putting on pounds to look fat in the conclusive scene of the new Bond flick.
Craig said that he doesn't want to be remembered for his six-pack and has thus decided to go back to the previous incarnations of Bond, when the agent's training regime wasn't much physically demanding.
"Bond used to do 10 press ups and smoke 50 cigarettes and drink a bottle of something and pop a pill, Cntactmusic quoted Craig, as saying. He added: "At the end of the movie we film a scene where I'm fat - because I don't want to be remembered as the physical Bond."

I hope he thinks carefully about this choice. I'm all for a little meat on a guy, but an obese James Bond is not an option.

Well, he is heartbroken from Vesper. Perhaps he eats his way through the movie to deal with his sorrow. I imagine him do a chase scene while eating a meatball sandwich. Or shots of him in bed surrounded by snack wrappers; crumbs on his beautiful chest.

I've certainly been there! My favorite image is the one in bed with snack wrappers all around & crumbs on his chest. Im sure I've woken up with an ice cream carton in bed with me at some point in my life......

funny that you should say that, at this very moment I am lying in bed with my laptop typing this message whilst watching the TRENCH on more 4 a sky freeview channel on tv, and eating cheese and biscuits with a couple of bits of chocy to follow. I might add that this is only happening because my hubby has gone to the pub. I love Fridays nights. :

The building is supposed to be an "eco-hotel," a buried tropical oasis amid this wasteland designed to lure the rich and powerful with the latest environmental technology. The hotel is a front for the villain, Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric, the French star of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly), a tycoon using a "Save the Earth" facade to hide his plan to seize control of part of South America's water supply.
"I said, 'Look, you're not shooting Greene, you're only shooting the glass because you want him alive. You want to crash through and find him,' " Forster says. In that moment, facing the impending explosion, Bond must decide whether slaying his nemesis is worth the cost of other innocent lives.
"When they have this moment between them, Bond has a decision to make," Forster says. "Bond lost someone he loved. But what does it mean to kill someone, when you just lost someone?"
I never would've imagined that there could be such deep understanding coming from the plot of a James Bond movie, but maybe I'm not thinking about them hard enough. It's atually mesmerizing to see them doing that much interpretation and it just goes to show that we're in for even more brilliance this November. Hearing explanations like that certainly calms my nerves regarding concerns that Quantum of Solace wouldn't hold up to refreshing reintroduction of Bond in Casino Royale.
Poducer Michael G. Wilson, who has worked on every James Bond movie since Moonraker, says that Bond movies after Solace might go back to the stand-alone plots, but for this one they wanted to continue with an "evolving Bond." He explains, "[Bond] has the realization that there's no place for him in the outside world. And also he's tempted by revenge and tempted by becoming a cynic, by losing his humanity. He has to fight all of these things."

Donnerndes Lachen. Der Tisch wackelt. Daniel Craig (40) trägt Bluejeans, schwarzes Poloshirt, sprengenden Bizeps, Omega-Taucheruhr, Wildlederschuhe mit Kreppsohlen: „Ja und nein. Das Leben ist ein ständiger Wechsel. Wenn du Entscheidungen triffst, änderst du dein Leben. Bond war eine große Entscheidung. Ich wusste, dass vieles anders wird. Es gibt viele Vorteile, aber auch kleine Nachteile. Aber das ist o.k. Ich mache meinen Job hundertprozentig.“
Wir sitzen im lichtdichten Luxus-Untergrund-Hotel (mit Pool, Dschungelpark), des ESO-Super-Teleskops (Zentrale: Garching bei München). Hier wird nachts die Galaxis erforscht. Am Tag dreht der deutsche Regisseur Marc Forster (aus Ulm, „Der Drachenläufer“), den 22. Bond: „Ein Quantum Trost“.
BILD: Was lieben Sie an 007 – und was hassen Sie?
Craig: „Ich liebe einfach den Spaß – es ist ein Abenteuer, ich liebte die alten Bonds. Es ist viel Druck, viel Verantwortung. Du musst der Beste sein, der du sein kannst. Es ist extrem physisch. Ich trainiere täglich. Wir drehen sechs Monate nonstop, sechs Tage die Woche. Wir stehen um vier Uhr auf ...“
BILD: Wie relaxen Sie?
Er lacht wieder rau wie ein Eisbär: „Durch Schlaf! Neben meinem Bett liegen drei Bücher für ein bisschen geistiges Training. Ich lese gerade „Dr. No“, aber ich schaffe pro Nacht nur eine halbe Seite, dann bin ich fertig ...“ Er schließt seine blaugrauen Granitaugen und kippt den kantigen Kopf.
Ich treffe ihn zum vierten Mal. Er wird immer härter. Seine Silhouette ist geschmeidig wie ein Panther. Seine Muskeln gespannt wie ein Bogen. Er ist ein Held wie aus Stein – aber mit Witz, Herz und Bescheidenheit.
