I don't see the size of the budget as a problem. They need to SPEND money to MAKE money I think and they are going to many more exotic locations... that ain't gonna to be cheap. I would argue that 2015 is going to have several BIG SPENDING movies.. Avengers sequel, Star Wars and Jurassic World to name but a few. I recently thought (as I was watching Guardians...) that Marvel seems to have an unlimited budget for their films. I don't know if Sony are the same but I would expect it can be extremely 'doable' for Spectre to make a profit. :)

If true 350 mill would make it the second or so most expensive movie ever. Not sure, I would want to be in Daniels shoes for this. Remember, It starts making profit after about 800 mill, if you include the costs for marketing etc.

I very much hope, they downscaled it - a lot.
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

I'm sure it's resolved. The email leak coverage is only zeroing in on the problems (makes better reading and gossip) not whether resolution was achieved. I can't imagine the studio or Babs would be so reckless with cash after the MGM shenanigans.

Product placement will cover some.

It is true I'm afraid. The script leaks are now all over the internet.
This is an official statement from EON.

EON PRODUCTIONS, the producers of the James Bond films, learned this morning that an early version of the screenplay for the new Bond film SPECTRE is amongst the material stolen and illegally made public by hackers who infiltrated the Sony Pictures Entertainment computer system.
Eon Productions is concerned that third parties who have received the stolen screenplay may seek to publish it or its contents. The screenplay for SPECTRE is the confidential information of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Danjaq, LLC, and is protected by the laws of copyright in the United Kingdom and around the world. It may not (in whole or in part) be published, reproduced, disseminated or otherwise utilised by anyone who obtains a copy of it. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Danjaq LLC will take all necessary steps to protect their rights against the persons who stole the screenplay, and against anyone who makes infringing uses of it or attempts to take commercial advantage of confidential property it knows to be stolen.

YIKES! This is a worry... :?

Hopefully, they can take steps to either prevent it from happening at all or by prosecuting those who try and publish it. But surely, those who care about the movie, WON'T read anything unauthorised on-line? :? Wish I knew if Daniel was worried so I could react accordingly....
