I really liked David Arnold. Who will sign the theme song? anybody's guess.

They turned down opportunity...

James Bond actor Daniel Craig reportedly asked Kings Of Leon to provide the theme tune to the next 007 movie only for the band to turn him down.

The 'Sex On Fire' rockers revealed the approach as they launched their new tour documentary 'Talihina Sky' in London this week. Speaking at the launch lead singer Caleb and drummer Nathan said they were thinking about reconsidering their refusal.

Revealing that Craig asked them three times, the pair reportedly said that a movie theme tune would give them a chance to work with strings and an orchestra, something they might not do on their normal albums.

Talihina Sky is released in cinemas on June 25th.

If Daniel wants them badly and I think, it could be true, I am all for them.

We all know he's a big KoL fan. He's also friends of theirs on a personal level. I wonder why they turned it down...

KoL interview....

When asked whether they’d consider recording a Bond theme tune Nathan revealed that it’s not a distant reality, seeing as actor Daniel Craig has actually asked him three times, he said, “Hmm Daniel Craig has asked me before. I have turned him down 3 times already but maybe.”

But maybe it's KOL that comes out looking kind of afraid to take on a challenge like a movie theme tune, especially if they haven't done much with strings and an orchestra. The Bond fanboys can be really critical.

Maybe they just don't like Bond enough to want to be associated with the franchise.

It is a bit of a poison chalice sometimes. Alicia Keys and Jack White got slammed in some quarters for the QoS theme song.

I thought it was a rather good track myself, I liked it.....but then again, as a mostly classical music fan these days, I'm well out of touch and not much of a judge of quality.

I liked the QoS theme song too. It was hard-edged and suited the movie better than a ballad like the theme songs for Goldfinger or You Only Live Twice.

Bond 23 rumors and snippets of information are coming out now, with more to come soon with filming to start - in September? I'm desperate for more, anything - actors, title, shooting locations, storyline.

C&A July 29, DH in September, Bond 23 filming soon. Looking forward to an exciting couple of months!

But the interesting parts will start way before that. Rumors, confirmations etc from September, I think.

Roger Deakins being cinematographer is one reason I'm looking forward to Bond 23. Deakins worked on Road to Perdition for Sam Mendes. Some of his images in that movie were striking - the way he used light.
