Don't they have megaphones for that? Perhaps he's in a time warp! OMG, that's it! Daniel's James has gone back in time to Pierce's era. It's like Doctor Who. So who's that Obama chap?caramel wrote:As audience of course we don't want to miss anything but he is a spy and Bond cannot afford to walk around 'announcing' to the world and his enemies by wearing an ear piece like that. They must want us to see it or it would be clear as shown below on the Secret Service agent in front of Obama or be bluetooth...
I still think Daniel is wearing it for coordination with the crew. They can alter/remove it during post production, can't they?

I think it is for coord. with crew too. They can't possibly have him wearing that kind of earpiece in the film or they would be totally trashed and laughed at for using such old technology for a modern day Bond. It cannot possibly be an earpiece in the film, unless there is a clearly explained reason for using such old technology.bumblebee wrote:Don't they have megaphones for that? Yeah, you're right; it has to be for communication with the director from wherever he is. One of us just needs to work on the set, that's all .

There were discussions on thee Bond boards and they couldn't figure it out either.
It still don't think, its needed for crew communication.I mean, he is not doing anything very complicated. He is running along a street and into a building.
He is wearing it, when he is obviously on a break but also, when they are obviously filming. We have the little clips, where they shout "Action" So, this really is

The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..
To be honest I don't get all the discussions about the earpieces.
They are still part of the ACTUAL equipment e.g. for bodyguards.
In this articel about the BG of Kate Middleton's dad, there is a pic of one of the BGs

When I remember it correctly the bluetooth earpieces have had huge security problems in the past

Additionally they have a relatively short range and can not be used over long distances.
But I'm no specialist, maybe I'm wrong or just outdated
