Lily Allen's sister raided by bailiffs over unpaid council tax (at the flat she rents from Daniel Craig)

Bailiffs have visited the home of Lily Allen’s sister over an unpaid council tax bill of nearly £1,800.

The visit by debt collectors came just days after Sarah Owen and singer Lily were forced to deny that the London fashion store they run together had closed its doors.

The bailiffs went to the £300,000 flat Sarah rents from James Bond star Daniel Craig to discuss the debt after Brent Council obtained a court order.

Meanwhile a spokesman for Sarah, whose flat is in a sought-after street in Queen’s Park, North-West London, where houses sell for an average of £1.4 million, declined to comment on the council tax bill.

Failure to pay council tax is punishable with up to three months in prison.

A source confirmed bailiffs had visited Sarah’s flat, adding: ‘The debts go back a few months. Obviously as a tenant she is liable for paying the council tax.’

A spokesman for 007 actor Daniel Craig also declined to comment.

A source said: ‘Daniel owns the ¬property, but he doesn’t live there ¬and the liability for paying the council tax does not lie with him.’

A Brent Council spokesman said: ‘A liability order was obtained for non-payment of council tax for the current year for the sum of £1,792.93 at Brent Magistrates’ Court on June 7.

‘It gives the power to recover the debt and the methods we can use are bailiffs or tax deduction from earnings.

‘When you are a tenant you have to register for council tax and in 99 per cent of cases a tenancy agreement states that the tenant is liable for paying council tax.’

Miss Owen and Miss Allen share the same mother, film producer Alison Owen.

That is true, council tax isnt paid by the landlord its paid by the tenant, and if the property remains empty, the landlord pays nothing as your not using any factilities, or they pay a very reduced rate.

Interesting. I always believed that he had never sold his Queen's Park place and kept it for an investment.

Also, well done DM with (for a change  ) correct facts about the location of the property. Queen's Park it is - across the road is the park itself!

'Tonight the streets are filled with love': Royal family and prime minister lead the nation in mourning as crowd of 150,000 gather in Oslo for 'rose march' tribute to Norway's dead

A muffled ripple of applause spread through the crowd as King Harald arrived at Oslo University to sign a book of remembrance, before he and the prime minister faced the crowd standing hushed in the summer drizzle.

'In remembrance of the victims ... I declare one minute's national silence,' Mr Stoltenberg said, flanked by Norway's king and queen outside the neo-classical building.

The silence stretched to five minutes as thousands stood outside the university and around a carpet of flowers laid outside the nearby Oslo cathedral.

The only sound was the squawking of seagulls and a lone dog barking. Cars stopped in the streets and their drivers got out and stood motionless as traffic lights changed from red to green.

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them."

This is it without the pics and video that went along with this article.

Ooh, Daniel Craig. He may be the only man in Hollywood that can make a movie about aliens invading an old Western town filled with cowboys look good. While the guys may be lining up this weekend to see the action (and Olivia Wilde), the ladies will be buying tickets for Cowboys and Aliens to drool over the sexy Craig for two hours. With that face, that body, those piercing blue eyes... who could say no?

This isn't the first time Mr. Craig has carried a movie with his sizzling good looks. In fact, here are five other moments that made us swoon for him:

1. Shower Scene in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

Daniel Craig shirtless

Before he made it big as the latest James Bond, Craig showed off his sexy side in small roles, such as 2001's Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. Who can forget the scene when he comes out of the shower--butt naked--to find Angelina Jolie had been in his room? She later said he was one of the "best kissers" in the business. If only we could test that theory.

2. Love Scenes in Casino Royale

Before he discovers his Bond girl in Casino Royale is really the enemy, Craig and actress Eva Greene share a few passionate, and incredibly romantic, scenes -- proving "Bond, James Bond" can be a monogamous, one-woman kind of man. The scenes left women everywhere wishng it was them rolling around in the sheets with the secret agent.

3. Love scene in Quantum of Solace

He brought the heat once again as the seductive Bond in Quantum of Solace. This video of him kissing all the way up Gemma Arterton's back says it all. Anyone else feeling shivers right now?

4. Cross-dressing for a good cause

What's hotter than a man who knows he's hot? A man who's comfortable enough in his own skin to wear a dress, heels and a wig -- for a good cause. Earlier this year, Craig starred in the short, "James Bond Supports International Women's Day" dressed in drag, as Judy Dench explained just how different women are treated than men. In our eyes, any guy who will put himself in our shoes is one who deserves to be adored.

5. Marrying Rachel Weisz

Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig

We're big fans of the lovely Rachel Weisz, but we're even bigger fans of Rachel and Daniel's real life love affair. As we watched their relationship grow, we realized just how much of a stand up guy Daniel is. He kept their bond private--so private, in fact, that no one knew they got married last month until after the fact! That kind of love is rare in Hollywood. And, although that means Daniel is a a taken man now, it just makes us like him even more knowing he's the real deal!

Tell us: what's your favorite Daniel Craig moment?

Another baby on the way for Aaron Johnson and Sam Taylor-Wood

Some might criticize their 23-year age gap, but Aaron Johnson and Sam Taylor-Wood are still going strong. So strong, that they’re expecting their second child together. According to People, Kick-Ass star Johnson, 21, and 44-year-old filmmaker Taylor-Wood will soon welcome baby No. 2. The couple, who are engaged, already have one child, 1-year-old Wylda Rae. Taylor-Wood also has two daughters from a previous relationship with art dealer Jay Jopling.
Johnson, who starred in Taylor-Wood’s John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy, addressed the couple’s age gap last year: “I’ve got a wonderful woman. I’m an old soul, and she’s a young soul.”

Doing some research on Daniel's house in North London that he shared with Sats. I'm still claiming that's the one listed earlier as for sale by a high profile private client and shown by appt. only bc of privacy.

The last public recorded sale on his house is 2005, which we know is wrong. I guess that's where that injunction went through to prevent the home's records (price and owner) from being listed as public.

There are four flats listed on the house from the last record keeping in 2005, each with its own floor - a, b, c, and d. The top floor was valued at about £1M, so the total of all floors appear to be what Daniel paid for the entire home - £4.5M, thereby owning the entire building. We know he did renovations shown by the earlier debris bins and construction pics from upper floors.

The place is still on the market with all floors being sold together. If the listing is his, it is no longer being described as multiple flats, rather a single family home...

That's what I think anyway. :dunno:
