The EastEnders cast are said to be delighted that such a big Hollywood actor will be joining them, while June Brown, who plays Dot, is more anxious to have the James Bond around.

Daniel Craig, who has also starred in The Golden Compass, Cowboys & Aliens and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, has previously said that he would love a role in a proper British soap.

And where better to start than the one that lives closest to MI6’s headquarters?

The James Bond episodes will be filmed next month, so you won’t have to wait for long until the glorious mash up will be on your TV screens.
