Quantum of Solace

Post by PAMELA BRAMMER »

Hi Christine

Both me and Next Bond Girl are going to the red carpet premiere in Leicester Square but unfortunately neither of us were lucky enough to get tickets to the public premiere (after spending a solid hour trying to get through on the phone).

Hope you see you again. I think we are going to try and stand somewhere opposite the entrance to the Odeon doors but I have been told that it will be absolute craziness - ten times worse then TGC or FOAF so be prepared (especially if you have your children with you). I think it has been rated as a 12A.

Pam :D :D :D

Would be great to met up again Pamela, this time i shall be with husband and children. I think i'll hang back from the red carpet as the children are with us and just enjoy watching from the side. Perhaps nearer the time we can arrange a meeting point for another photo. But i'm guessing that you two are going to be there from 9am like FOAF. So it may be best for us to come and find you in your camp.

Ooooh, i just love the buzz.

Cheers Christine

You're right Muireann, they do look similar, except for the weed wacker hair...

But I think he looks quite a bit more naughty in this new one. I think it belongs in the naughty Daniel thread!!!!

Daniel Craig displays his licence to thrill in new stunt scenes

Quantum Of Solace - 05-10-08

As Quantum of Solace opens, Bond and M are interrogating Mr White, who reveals that the organisation that 'turned' Vesper is called Quantum, with agents in both the CIA and the British Government - reports The Mail Online (click for pictures).

After interrogating White in the underground safe house in Sienna, there is a confrontation in which Bond chases rogue MI6 agent Mitchell across the rooftops.

Gary Powell, stunt co-ordinator: 'We use wires as safely when we're doing jumps; we don't use them to exaggerate the shot. If Danel can only jump 15ft, that's how far you see him jump. He falls 50ft off scaffholding during this sequence, for real.

'Daniel was pretty proficient at stunt work after making Casino Royale, but in this film we've pushed him even further.'

Director Marc Forster: 'The roof chase was one of the most important elements in the opening section of the film. We shot it at Pinewood and in Siena.

'There's a bus jump towards the end of the sequence - it was very expensive and dangerous to film, but we couldn't work out any other way for Bond to cross over the street to Mitchell.'

Second unit director Dan Bradley: 'Daniel Craig is willing to do just about anything to get a good shot. In Sienna, there were always several leaps across streets and alleyways from four- and five-storey rooftops, and Daniel did them all.

'He even dropped 20ft onto the top of a speeding bus. It's very impressive.'

Olga Kurylenko admits she was teased on set about her accent

Quantum Of Solace - 05-10-08

Olga Kurylenko says her castmates on the new James Bond movie constantly made fun of her accent, reports M&C. The Ukrainian-born model - who stars alongside Daniel Craig and Gemma Arterton in 'Quantum of Solace' - admits she was the butt of many jokes on set.

She said: "English is not my first language so the film crew would often playfully tease me, they would tell me these wild stories that I would believe, then later say it was a joke!"

Olga - who will play Bond girl Camille in the new film - also spoke about how she prepared for the role.

She added: "Camille is amazing - she kicks a**! I did weapons training, body flight training for aerial scenes and stunt work for fighting."

The 28-year-old beauty revealed she got on well with Daniel, who plays lead character James Bond, adding: "Daniel is a really nice man, so supportive and encouraging. And very funny too."

New trailer

Post by Mahalo4DC »

I was lazily watching Sunday football w/ my dh (Seahawks v Giants) and they played a new QofS trailer. It wasn't the one that started with the car in the desert nor the with the interview w/ Mr. White. Apparently that particular game was beng sponsered by Quantum of Solace. Dh laughed and said they are trying to draw the women into watching more football.

Has anyone else seen this trailer? Honestly it wasn't as good as the previous two that I have seen.

It was probably one of the two TV spots,Mahalo, although I liked them very much.
Did it start with him on the boat or with that scene, where he is sitting in the coat in the dark and then it is him in the car?
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

I had to share this as I am so excited! It's not nearly as good as getting to the London premier and the chance to see DC on the red carpet but I have got tickets to see QofS at the first showing of it at my local cinema on 31st at 10.10am! What a fantastic reason to get out of bed early.
My hubby wanted to wait until 24th November - WHAT? No waaaayyyy, hopefully I would have seen several more times in the interim.

Bond is back: The secrets behind the stunts in the most expensive 007 movie ever

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/moslive/arti ... -ever.html

nothing really new, but I laughed when I read this:

Craig: 'There's little piece of my flesh still on the 007 stage somewhere and we couldn't find it to stitch it back on'.

poor boy!
