Can anyone explain why he wears the suit for the performance but is always off-stage in this one outfit used from promo stills? Is it a method actor thing?

Lovely pics - and in most of them I don't even seem to notice the tache!!
I was wondering about the clothes too BB

It's a Daniel thing
maybe he'a afraid that this suit will be ripped into pieces

Guess they will play around with the clothes some more - maybe we get lucky and get to see him at least in the shirt and jacket.
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

He looks good! His hair is styled and better clothes than the play! The suit thing is just unnecessary. He's playing a cop who has made detective, and they wear jackets and ties. BUT the set is not a police station, so he could wear anything.

But he wears it almost every day? Maybe that's where Sats was, washing and ironing yesterday's version of the same outfit!

I'm very happy to see those pics, they are really great for us to see after such a long time without him. Hope we will have many more soon.

I totally agree about him looking good in that pic. I like all the pics of him without the hat on. Good that he took the time to style his hair up a bit before he exited the theatre. Of course he cares how he looks!
