There is some plastic or some such apart from the brown material
You can see he is holding something else in his hands than just the brown stuff.
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

I know pigs ear (in German it is 'Schweineöhrchen'). I buy it sometime, when I visit my friend.....needless to say that her dogs loves me
but Chamois....and I didn't get the connection to dog food, so I thought it might have another meaning, too.

We are trying to concentrate on something ABOVE
that point. Its a good diciplin lesson

As far as I remember there wasn't anything looking like this in the film!But maybe I didn't notice because I was distracted all the time by his PFA...
