The 21 Jan midnight screenings in the Wanda IMAX theaters in Beijing are almost sold out, and the one 20:30 screening (in only one cinema) is sold out. The other movies have more screenings (6 per days), they're making it an event for the day of release clearly...

What I said and thought. China is not gonna kill it. 40 to 50 mill at best. Comparing it to Mission Impossible is crap, as that film has lots more action. It has played much better all over Asia.

Thanks Elvenstar. Great link. Its how I imagined it to be. Never saw, where the fantastic figures should come from. But how ever this turns out. It doesn't take away from its overall success. Its stupid to wait that long to bring it to China, when piracy will have a major effect on it PLUS they should haven known, tat the way the film is made isn't going to be too popular in China PLUS its 2D only.

First wave of audience reactions are out: some think it is good, while lots others think the pace is too slow without much actions. They dont like it ...
WTF ...
Early day showings are starting. Not looking good ...

Here comes the first number.
Skyfall midnight opening, RMB 1.7M with 43000 admissions from 900 screenings.
I am so disappointed.
Early day shows are not good either. GA think it is (a little) boring.

Matinee performing for Skyfall is rather disappointing, if not awful ...
People keep saying the actions are too little.

Meh wom should mostly affect its legs. But disappointing midnight and OD ? must be the piracy ...

The BD version is out already.
