A review in the Sunday Express (it does contain some minor spoilers). I have not checked to see if it differs from the review in the Daily Express.

Spectre is the best Bond ever

Exactly what we like to read. Some seem to totally dig it, other not quite as much, but still overall good and for Daniel only praise.
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

Loved SPECTRE. For all its dark themes, a welcome light touch too. Craig effortless, Waltz deliciously deranged. Most importantly: FUN!

The Times critic, Kate Muir, gave Spectre a 5-star review. However, Camilla Long, critic for The Sunday Times awarded only 3 stars. Here are some snippets to give you a flavour of her review:

This is her opening sentence: ‘This is Bond: the Condé Nast Traveller Remote Sex Hotels edition.’

It goes on: ‘The new film feels like a series of formulaic fashion gropes as Bond and his love interest, Dr Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux), battle it out in cashmere.’

And: ‘Mendes hits his stride when Bond moves to Rome for Sciarra’s funeral and encounters his screamingly beautiful widow Lucia (Monica Bellucci).

It is a gorgeous mouth-watering scene; except Bond urgently has to seduce her. Lucia has barely taken off her veil before 007 smooshes her up against a heritage mirror and snogs her like a camel trying to retrieve dates from a hanging basket. He then vanishes leaving someone else’s number.

I don’t have much time for creepy-rapey scenes and it reminded me of the moment in Skyfall when Bond slid into a shower in order to “surpriseâ€￾ a casino hostess. Bellucci, the best thing in the entire film, is pumped and dumped in minutes.’

Camilla Long comments ‘Everything is underpowered.’

Her final paragraph gives some hope that the review will count as fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

‘There are some terrific stunts, some sensual moments and 148 minutes just fly by – but it is just too self-consciously tasteful.’

(I can’t post a link because you have to pay for digital content and I’ve already bought the paper.)

Guess the most important thing for the general audiences will be, that it is fun and flies by.

We have some wonderful great reviews and some lesser ones, as was to be expected. But apparently very respected critics gave it a full thumb up, which is great.

I agree. The bit about the camel in the ST review made me smile.

And China will love it much more then SF, because more action and less dialogue. So maybe they can get till 100 mill there instead of 50/60 they had.

Right now, I am predicting around 900 mill.

Daniel Craig: a reluctant Bond who has made the role his own
The actor has hinted he may be tiring of 007, but what future he may forge for himself after Spectre is unclear

Another good review from the Irish Independent.

A gritty action epic that will leave you shaken and stirred

http://www.independent.ie/entertainment ... 40852.html
One takes Craig's performances in these films for granted, but he's a wonderful Bond, tough and remorseless and ever so slightly unhinged. In recent weeks he's been making ominous noises about giving up the role. Let's hope he changes his mind.
