This is really strange - as all the mags here are posting reviews and I saw the trailer in the theatre even yesterday. The trailer showed 5th february..Must have been ANOTHER last second decision. I really, really wonder about the reason..
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

 Did you mean March? ;)

The only reason I could think of is the synchronisation...

No, the trailer had february 5th underneath - and I think the synchro is ready - they set up the filom here with the promotion and all - its just strange what they keep doing to this film - strange and NOT good

Bond auf Abwegen
28.02.2009, 16:50

„Jerusalem“ in freier Natur

Nothing new, but a good review and it says about Daniel
"DC has an enormous physical and mental presence and his charisma doesn´t need the Bond to shine. He is an alpha wulf, like Tuvia"

Good German interview

Will read through it later and see, if something worthwhile has to be translated ..

After the delay of the release of Defiance here in Germany they now announce that the movie will hit the cinemas with a different title
"Unbeugsam - Defiance" but it's not a literal translation. "unbeugsam" is more like rigid or unrelenting

Is that the reason of the postponing?

But "unbeugsam" is also fitting, I think... and now the average german cinema viewer might not be put off by an english title... ;)

Hmm, yes, that could be the reason - the average German probably doesn't know how to pronounce "Defiance", so that might be a bit of an impediment. I'm wondering why they didn't see that before though, they could have changed the title right away.

A bit off topic and only funny for the Germans, but do you remember the movie 'The Verdict'? Two girls went to the cinema with a friend of mine and ordered tickets: "Zweimal verdickt bitte."
