Me too. I think the shirt-less pics in Layer Cake are just beuatiful. Although I wouldn't kick him out if he had his Bond body!Faustine wrote:I hope the same thing, his body in Layer Cake was perfect for me, his body in Casino Royale....magch wrote:Same here. I neither, certainly. Only I say that there was no need of the body be deformed that way. He already had a splendid body, the role was not needing these pectoral hyperdeveloped ones.sigl wrote:Me too. I think the shirt-less pics in Layer Cake are just beuatiful. He had a harmonic and muscular body before CR, later not, even in the cinema he seems to be much lower.
To treat that he has the body of a 25-year-old boy looks like to me a mistake, the contrast between his face and his body is too brutal, to my taste, of course.
We convince ourselves that we know the other person well, but do we really know anything important about anyone.

I agree with all of you girls...I think the difference before and after bond is huge, his body changed a lot...For me he was in great shape in LC.Faustine wrote:I neither, certainly. Perhaps you might consider the following reason, because the explanation for the Bond bod is at hand by himself.DC_fan wrote:I agree with all of you girls...I think the difference before and after bond is huge, his body changed a lot...For me he was in great shape in LC.Faustine wrote:I neither, certainly. "If I hadn´t sort of bothered to do this (to get buff), I don´t think I would have lasted .."
So he didn´t do it for better looks (whenever is he doing anything for that anyway? ), but for giving us the best possible action scenes.
When I look at him in CR with his clothes on (yes on ) there is just more of him there, which is good, because it helps him to look more impressive and/or more brutal when needed.
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..
Yes...i'm aware of that, I don't blame him! He just had to do it!Germangirl wrote:Perhaps you might consider the following reason, because the explanation for the Bond bod is at hand by himself.DC_fan wrote:I agree with all of you girls...I think the difference before and after bond is huge, his body changed a lot...For me he was in great shape in LC.Faustine wrote: I neither, certainly. I agree Faustine.....Daniel is totally engaged and very attentive....so sweet. However, Cate Blanshett has the same charisma as Daniel - she is very intense in her roles and I love her acting as well. Perhaps Daniel is also a fan of hers.
The second photo makes me think about the recent awards show that we attended. We don't see it behind the scenes, but these glamorous people sometimes walk out of very strange places - in this case - it almost looks like a boiler room or the bowels of the venue.
Apparently the BAFTA's always take place at the Grosvenor Hotel owned by the Grosvenor family, the 2nd wealthiest in all of Britain where the main ballroom is enormous. (I remember hearing the guide on the bus telling us this).
P.S. - Thank you to all for finding more b&w shots - I love them!
