Bond is back - but this time as well as packing his trusty Walther PPK he's toting fake tan, moisturiser and a bottle of baby oil. Oooh, James!

Daniel Craig is reaching for an assortment of girlie cosmetics to give the secret agent a more metrosexual image in his latest outing.

The 40-year-old has had a lorry load of beauty products delivered to his trailer on the set of next flick Quantum Of Solace.

A production insider tells us: "Daniel Craig is the first metrosexual Bond. More than any other Bond in history, Daniel is attractive to both men and women.

"Daniel got rave reviews following his Bond debut, both for his acting abilities and his buff physique."

Producers are keen to capitalise on Dan's X-factor and bring in the pink pounds by maximising his status as eye candy - for boys and girls.

"As well as fake tan, bronzer, eye cream, cleanser, toner and moisturiser, Daniel's been having regular manicures," our mole croons.

"He regularly uses the gym on set but to maximise results, baby oil is a wellknown trick to increase muscle definition." What will Q say?

"He uses eyedrops to make the whites of the eyes appear brighter and has been told to splash his face with ice-cold water before filming to close the pores and make him look younger," our, er, spy continues.

"Daniel is happy to do everything in his power to nail the part... even if it means his mates take the mick."

The next spy thriller, the 22nd instalment of the ever-popular series which has previously featured Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan, began filming in November last year. Due for release at the end of 2008, the movie also stars Dame Judi Dench as M, plus new Bond girls, Olga Kurylenko and Gemma Arterton.

Last night a spokesman for Craig declined to comment.

Dan - if you need any help slowly smearing that baby oil over your muscles, we're your girls.

Dan's a Bond bombshell

Our computer buddies at the Mirror have been messing around with Daniel's airbrushed picture to see what he might look like before and after his makeover

1 That pasty white skin belongs in a funeral parlour

2 Even celebrities have spotty days...

3 He no longer looks sunkissed - where's the tan?

4 Are those bags under your eyes? He looks like he needs a good kip...

5 Those famous bright blue eyes look duller

That article's hilarious. Most men use toner, moisturiser and eye cream and stuff now dont they? especially actors! And he wouldn't have any choice with the fake tan - James is supposed to be a super-tanned globe-trotter and Daniel, although probably slightly tanned from his travels is still very pale-skinned and probably has tshirt lines which would be a definite no-no for Bond! :)

*lol* how true! I know my husband doesn't leave the house without applying his Neutrogena hypoallergenic moisturizer in the mornings. It has to be Neutrogena, because nothing else will do! You should see him panicking when he runs out.

Hey, I have a book "The Metrosexual Guide to Style, A Handbook for the Modern Man" by Michael Flocker. I bought it to get the Mr. ready for our trip to New York City next spring. A suggestion from my nephew.

I love this book! It gives me some things to talk with my nieces and nephews about
